Molded out of rugged polypropylene plastic, this comfortably-handled ammo can will hold up to some pretty harsh treatment. MTM's Plastic 50 caliber can with rounded corners is designed to fit the same amount of bulk ammo storage as the original and will not rust. A heavy-duty dual latching system makes for a better seal that is less likely to open accidentally while the tongue and groove O-Ring seal system make it water-resistant. Double padlock tabs along with molded-in stacking ridges make these forest green containers the perfect solution to so many storage needs. Inside dimensions are 5.8"Lx11"Wx7.2"H.

i have over a dozen MTM cans in various sizes. mostly used for ammo and magazines, a few store other sundries like matches/lighters, emergency candles… the list goes on. i haven’t put them through much abuse, so i can’t tell you how well they’d hold up in daily use, being tossed around in a vehicle, etc, but i can assure you that for general storage in a stable environment, they should last many moons without issue. i haven’t tested the integrity of the advertised air-tight seal, but it seems to be doing just fine so far. throw a few desiccant packets in with your ammo and they should go bang for years. try a few of these out and enjoy!

Personally, I prefer the military .50 ammo cans. However, this can is well constructed, reasonably priced and does the job.

Holds all the ammo it can fit. Can’t beat the rugged plastic construction and it seals nicely too. Go down on the price some and I’ll buy a pallet full haha.
