Rating: 5 of 5 Stars!
Accuracy: Very good. I shot this pistol back to back with my S&W M&P 2.0 with upgraded barrel and red dot sight. My groups between the two were hardly distinguishable. The best I could achieve that day was 3 shot group of 1" at 7yds offhand. Im not a skilled pistol shooter by any stretch, so I am very pleased. I didn't need to adjust my sights at close range, but it is nice to have a fully adjustable rear sight. Reliability: I shot just over 200 rounds on my first range trip with it. Not a single problem. I shot cheap remanufactured ammo 115 gr. from different manufacturers, CCI blazer brass 115,124gr., Federal 124 gr. , and Hornady critical Def. 124 gr. P. Durability/Finish: After 200 rounds the only wear point is on the magazine itself from being inserted. Otherwise you can't tell it's even been used. Weight: noticeably heavier than striker fired pistols. Not too heavy though. Recoil: The impulse on this pistol is interesting. It's not at all snappy and the sights come right back into alignment. I was able to accurately shoot this gun at a faster pace than any other 9mm I've had. Trigger: Double action is pretty heavy. To each their own if that is an issue or not. The single action is good. Don't know the weight exactly but I'd guess between 4-5 lbs. Ergos: The g10 grips are nice. I would say that are less "grippy" and more of just aggressive ridges. Not my favorite but they look good. My shootong grip utilizes the extended take down lever as a shelf to control the recoil. Note that a few times the take down lever began to rotate under recoil using it as a pedal. Not enough to relase the slide but had to rotate it back serveal times while shooting. The extended mag release is great, never accidently hit it. I chose the frame safety for multiple reasons but using it as a shelf to control recoil worked very well. However, the slide release and frame safety are too close and you hsve to hit the slide release from above. The grip of this pistol is rather large. I'm 5' 9" with medium sized hands, it feels massive in my hands. It's not too large that I can't grip it correctly , but it completely fills out my hands. This large grip also comes into play reaching the trigger in double action. My finger is just long enough to use it correctly. The front and rear slide serrations are not sharp and work pretty well. Final thoughts: This pistol has quickly become my favorite. I was surprised by how accurate im able to be with it. Its reliable enough to carry if you can manage to conceal a full size pistol. It looks fantastic and has the smoothest slide ive ever used. I've never owned a beretta m9 or 92fs, but I can't imagine it's three times better to justify triple the cost for the same features. If you're on the fence I'd say go for it.
