very nice pistol, it arrived within a few weeks in very nice condition, I had a very small scratch on the right side of the frame at the safety. Overall I am pleased with the transaction with Buds Gun Shop as always, I have not had time to do any shooting with this one yet but I am looking forward to seeing if it shoots as good as it looks.

Poor quality given the price point; the trigger would engage and hammer would even drop with the safety on, dovetail not engaged. With safety off, trigger would not depress. Sent it back to S&W for fixing, which they did fix, but gave no details as to what the problem was. After that it fired fine. Found the very sharp texture on the front and backstraps of the grip unnecessary and even uncomfortable to fire with bare hands. Works great for texture though. Overall a beautiful, super light little 1911. But given the incredibly bad QC on it, I cannot recommend it. No firearm should operate the exact opposite way it is intended to operate, but particularly not one in this price range.

Well, I've had this fantastic little 1911 for a few years now and I couldn't be more pleased. Lighter weight with the Scandium frame, great controls, good sights from the factory and I think it looks pretty great too. Has run without a failure since day one.

I think this is one of the best looking 1911's which is why I purchased one. After receiving it, I like it even more. It is very comfortable for me to hold as well as to carry.

Gorgeous! Being a 1911 fan, this is one of my prized examples. The scandium really lightens the weight, and I think that S&W got it right. The enhanced series with their 1911 triggers has made a few Kimber folks envious! Fit and finish are excellent.. From day one, it has always fed and fired and ejected perfectly... It is definitely a keeper!

Buds is amazing. I have been dealing with them for years. Everything always goes off without a glitch. Even on two trades I was treated MORE than fair. The new Smith I just received this top of the line pistol and Ill enjoy many years of busting 45s into paper. Hope I never have to use it for anything else, but If I do, I know it will preform excellent. Thanks again Bud's.

I've wanted this gun or the ported S&W PC version since the first time I saw it. I don't usually look for a 'pretty' gun but that's what this is.. It's also a fighting gun and excels at the range.. Getting it with LEO discount was the icing on the cake. I'll be using this for EDC once I've put some more rounds through it but honestly it was Good to Go out of the box.

Just received my S&W 1911E series. Took it to the range to put the first 100 rounds through it. It shot everyone including some of my semi was utter reloads without so much as a hick up. I was shooting at a 3 inch steel plate at 12 yards. The sights seemed to be right on the money. There will be a small learning curve to allow for faster follow up shots due to the scandium frame making this 1911 so much lighter than others that I own. I believe this will be the ultimate carry gun due to the weight.
