These grips are a great product,they feel great and look awesome. You just have to shave a little off of the left grip panel so the safety will clear the grip.

I love these for personalization - any 1911 grips you like. Add color with plastic grips, or stay with the look of wood (I am looking for inexpensive burled wood grips for one of my builds). Not always a perfect fit, but usually fine. Also, the shape of the 1911 grip is a classic.

I purchased this adapter to go on my AR10 so I would be able to have matching grips with my 1911. installation was straight forward but as reported in other reviews the safety lever will hit the grip. This can be remedied in one of 3 ways. By either removing material from the grip, shortening the safety lever or installing a push button style safety. Since I didn't want to modify the grips I chose the push button style safety method and find it works well for me. While this is probably not the best tactical grip for the AR platform, it is completely functional and provides the opportunity for a customized look. It is possible to use the hollow area between the grips for storing small items. such as spare batteries. However access requires removing one of the grips. I will be getting another to install on my AR15. As a last note, the adapter can be easily removed and the original AR grip reinstalled if desired
