I bought this as a demonstration gun for concealed carry classes. I wanted a cheap striker fired clone to show that guns don't necessarily need to be expensive to be serviceable. I also wanted to show differences in fit, finish, and features compared to higher end firearms. This firearm also had a built in gun lock and a thumb safety. I ended up liking the gun enough that I stippled the grip and carried it for several years. It is a workhorse and due to the price i don't feel like I need to baby it. Taurus has been hit or miss with quality control especially with their auto loaders, but I guess I got lucky. Mine works brilliantly.

Bought this gun as a back up. Used the layaway wouldnt have been able to aquire the gun otherwise, Very easy, Thanks Buds for that option. Very cool looking gun. Lots of features my 20 year old son is Left handed and ambi features made it easy for him. Very accurate as it was his first time shooting a 40 cal. It short cycled a few times, and locked open before the full mag was spent a few times. Had a friend look at it before sending it in to Taurus. He said there was a small prob with the 15 round mag that he thinks he corrected. Ran The remaining 80 rounds through it the next weekend without any problems. 15 round mag wobbles a bit and feels loose but has never fell out. Overall definitely a keeper. Now my son wants to buy one but Buds hasn't stocked them in almost a year.??? Hope this review was helpful.

Received Taurus 24/7 .40 compact today and I am complete satisfied. Came with 2 mags one of which is extended. Put 50 rounds through it without a problem. Thanks buds great job and excellent customer service.

I took the Taurus PT 24/7 G2 to the range 2 weeks after I got it. i Ran into a problem my gun had FTF after 6 shots. I've tried different ammo and it still locks back in the locked position after every shot. Im sending it back to the factory for repair .

Finally shot my Taurus 24/7 G2 .40 yesterday. Took it to a nice little indoor range in town. I'm definitely a novice shooter/owner, as this is the first gun I've purchased myself (not given by my dad). My thoughts: It did come packed in grease, so be prepared to clean it up before you shoot it!!! Gun has a good weight and balance with a loaded clip. Top heavy without (since it's polymer). Slide is HEFTY. Gotta workout my grip in the gym to get used to pulling that dude back! Trigger pull doesn't feel heavy and doesn't feel light. For me it seems right on the money. It is DA/SA, which I don't fully understand. The trigger pull when it's in SA is much shorter. (I wasn't sure how to keep it in SA mode). I just pull the slide, aim, shoot til it clicks! My shots were all over the place of course, because I hadn't shot a pistol in 3 years. Guns & Ammo said the trigger had a gritty drag at the end, but I didn't notice. Then again I'm a novice. My groupings were low and right of the target, so I need to practice more and perhaps adjust the sights a click. It seemed like the gun fell back into place very well after squeezing the trigger, kind of like a glock does. I was shooting 165 grain, so it was breathing plenty of fire. Didn't bark like a .45 of course, so it's going to be a good one for myself and the little wifey. The only thing I don't like is the little groove on the bottom of the grip. It looks like an insert for a wrist strap or something weird? The edges are sharp and you can start to feel it grooving into your palm after shooting a while. It's certainly a minor gripe. Got it all disassembled and cleaned up. As far as I can tell it breaks down easily enough! Love dealing with Buds!

came with plenty of fatory gunk for the overseas trip.BE AWARE pistol does not have flat bottom,its like the 24/7 pro.wedge style.came slowly cause of the holidays,but its ok. other than that awsome pistol.

I love this gun, I have put 300 rounds thru it with out a single problem. it feels great in the hand and very manageable recoil. This is coming from a diehard Glock fan. Taurus is making some fine firearms these days. The only problem I have with this gun is my wife is trying to take it from me. lol I guess I'm gonna have to get her one in 9mm now. Oh and BTW, it's nice to look at too.
