  Trevor, the Polymer Frame will definitely be fine. The Carbon Steel Cylinder With Black Oxide Finish and Barrel will hold up with the proper protection. • Q: I looked at one of these and the cylinder was hard to open after pressing the release button. Is this a common problem and does it get better after break in?

  James, this will wear in after approximately 100 or so rounds. Normally, only a few are extra stiff on the release initially but wear in quickly.
