This 590 Special Purpose shotgun has a 3-inch chamber for 12-gauge shells. The 20" barrel has a front sight bead and, to keep up with the 9+1 capacity, a heat shield. This model has a special treat - the forend houses a shock-resistant L3/Insight Technology light delivering 125 peak lumens. This tactical forend light operates with an ambidextrous side touchpad for temporary or fixed on and strobe beam settings. Set in a black synthetic stock, the metal finishes are blued.

Got my pump yesterday. Only put 1 round through it in the backyard but cycled the action and it works well. The tac light is very bright. The capacity is really 8+1 so I dont know whats up with that but whatever its still better than 4+1 on my remington 1100. Seems to be of good quality and I am pleased with it. Buds service is top notch as usual.

The shotgun arrived very timely fashion and was beautiful. I am extremely happy with BUDS and their fantastic service & prices. The Mossberg 590 SP is AWESOME and I love it. It is a beast of a gun wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Very nice shotgun, really smooth pump, and all around kick ass. Not sure what the 9+1 is all about I could only get 8+1 with 2 3/4 shells. Also not sure what the deal is with the 12 shot capacity that is in the description. haha. The light that is fit into the pump is real nice as well. It has an on/off switch that when left on the pump becomes a presure switch that turns the light on and off. The light is bright enough to reach 75 yards with good amount of lighting. A+ on the gun not sure about the description though.
