Suspect the mags were the culprit..

Always wanted a DEagle, and finally got one from Bud's, who did a great job. I absolutely love this pistol! People complain about the size and weight, but guys...its a flippin' 44 Mag semi-auto. What did you expect? Many revolvers in 44 Mag are only a couple ounces lighter, and at least as big. I have bear paws, so the grip size is fine for me, even with the Hogue replacement grips (which are great, BTW...give you total control.) For the 200-round break-in I ran all sorts of random loads from miscellaneous manufacturers that I had sitting around and it functioned just fine with all kinds of stuff, with the one exception being a CorBon 280gr load that had a big exposed lead portion of the tip that hung up on the feed ramp...lesson: don't try to fire loads with big exposed lead tips! I use it for a hunting backup, carrying it in a drop-leg rig from Black Hawk that has a Y-shaped double belt loop arrangement, with double straps around the leg. Works great for the DEagle, and spreads the 5lb weight over a large area, making it quite comfortable, especially if you also wear combat suspenders to help keep your drawers up.

Just received my desert eagle 44w from buds gun shop. It took about a week to pick it up from my FFL gunshop and shot it this last weekend and what a pistol. The order as very quick and the price was more than reasonable. The day I called to order the DE44W the price had been reduced and I thought I was ordering the wrong desert eagle, but going on the website during the order I was pleasantly surprised on the price at that time. When you want to order one go on the website everyday because the going price may be reduce for that day. I would and have recommended Buds for a gun order.

If your looking for a big caliber gun the desert eagle is the gun to get. It is a very big and heavy gun with a recoil of a 9mm. Don't think about it just get it..

Great product and great service from buds. i have fired this weapon 100+ times with no issues whatsoever and get lots of great compliments while at the range. Surprisingly low recoil for such a powerful handgun! will definatly use buds again awesome customer service!

All I can say is AWESOME! I always wanted on of these guns and finally got it. At the range is gives me 4 inch groups at 80 yards with a red dot sight. Very accurate for hogs! It sure gets everyones attention at the range!! I reload hot for this gun and no problem feeding! AAAA+++++
