The gun meets my requirements in wanting a home defense weapon and teaching my teenage daughter to shoot a shotgun using clays. The gun feels light and is extremely accurate during and after its break-in period. One feature that I did not understand until I started shooting the gun; due to the short barrel, the gun feels a little off balance until the shooter gets used to it.

I recently purchased the Mossberg SA-20... It was challenging finding a 20 gauge semi-automatic with a 20" barrel - especially at this price... This is a really well made gun... And, while my local gun shops didn't carry it, I ordered from Bud's online - and it was packaged and shipped immediately without any problems... My local gun shop accepted the shipment - and after waiting the required 10 days, I am now the proud owner of a new shotgun... I might add that a couple of other customers in the store when I picked it up expressed their interest and may be buying this gun for themselves in the near future. Thanks Bud's!

This Mossberg 20 gauge is a great gun. Looks good, good balance and after shooting over 50 rounds today with no problems I am fairly pleased with the purchase. I did find the loading process a little stiff and I hope it loosens up after use. Just one negative that will make this the last Mossberg gun I will ever buy. After calling customer service and sending them a picture at their request, the tell me my obvious cosmetic problem in the finish of my tri-rail is not their problem. It looks like someone splattered gloss black finish on an otherwise matte finished gun. Why send the picture if you have no intention of fixing it. If it does not concern the shooting of the gun they will not make it right. Gun is 3 weeks old and Mossberg could care less. Love Bud's but never Mossberg again for me.

This SA20 has a good heft to it, balanced, solid but to cumbersome. Recoil is nil (typical 20 ga.) and action is smooth. Like the fiber optic sights and 3 sided mini pictinny rail. This firearm is like a lesser version of the model 930 SPX, difference being obvious 20 vs. 12 ga. and SA20 having & 5 rds compared to the 9 rds. in a 930 SPX. l Have purchased from Buds for about 5 years now, and their product selection, price, shipment tracking/notification and payment options are excellent. Hard to beat these guys though you might find a specific type firearm at Classic or maybe Hyatt a few dollars lower, otherwise Buds Guns is king of the online sales. If I have one thing I could change, it is their policy of not shipping firearms without a magazine at customer request. This is an issue in states like mine that have mag capacity limit. Places like Classic Firearms will do this upon request and some places will even substitute10 round mag if available. You might find better deals out there but for consistency, service and quality stick with Buds.

Nice semi auto shotgun, with tolerable recoil. Decent sights and good rail set up. Cycles and patterns well with #3 buck loads from Remington. Be advised, Rio #1 buck loads will not cycle this gun. Only other issue is I would prefer to put in a mag limit plug instead of taking one out - this comes with a 2 round limiter installed. There are aftermarket mag tube extensions that raise the capacity to 7+1 and fit under the barrel. Buds service good as usual, and item as described.

sweet heart of a semi automatic shotgun. should be manufactured with 7 round mag tube as 5 rounds goes very fast. flawless with high brass shells. highly recommend it for any purpose.
