YES! I recently bought this rifle from here and YES it is drilled and tapped for scope base mounts. Although what i found is if you just put regular weaver bases on it the scope sits too far forward. This rifle works best with a Long Action Picatinny rail mount.

I didn't know what to say it a Savage. It shoots great and price was unbeatable a real work horse. Yes it not fancy wood but I prefer black stocks any way. I'm buy most of my guns from buds from now on. Shipping can be a little slow but o well that's more on the warehouses

This is a great rifle , top quality , strong stock , smooth bolt action , site's easy to use , gun comes to shoulder with sites alined , shot Remington 225 grain , 50 target , bullet holes touching , put a limb saver slip on recoil pad since the butt is hard rubber , work's great , no pain or fear of recoil , one great mountain , rough terrain , snow , rain gun with plenty of power for bear and boar , still amazed by the gun at the price , don't miss out on this deal , with sling and slip on recoil pad 8 lbs , plus I like the extra inch of lop from the pad , since I prefer longer lop for guns with open sites
