I actually purchased this item a while back, and I'm only posting this review in case someone is looking for honest feedback if they happen across a Para some day. Out of the box, this pistol needed some love: it appeared well made, felt solid and smooth. Impressive construction overall EXCEPT the plastic trigger. The first few times I had the pistol out were lackluster- FTF FTE and a sharp grip panel on one side. The biggest plus was that the high cap and solid steel construction made it a very nice shooter (when it did) Fast forward a couple months, a few aftermarket parts and a couple hours of cutting and polishing a preramp in the frame- it is one of the best firing, most reliable firearms I own. If you get a chance at one and know how to tweak 1911s, this thing is completely worth it!

Great weapon at a great price thanks to Buds Gun Shop once again!!! This thing was great no malfunctions of any kind. 15 rounds of 45acp out of the holster and I carried 2 spare 14rnd mags. Heavy weapon, 4lbs loaded, but that really reduced the felt recoil.

This Gun has performed flawlessly. If you want a Hi-cap .45 that is NOT a Glock then this is your gun! A real shooter right out of the case, load the mags and start shooting up the 10 rings. I may buy another just to have a matching pair on both leg holsters. NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I purchased this gun from Buds. I was EXTREMELY anxious to hold this gun in my hand after months of debating and research. I took it to the range today and range 100 rounds through it at various scenarios (single feed, FTF exercises, rapid fire, regular etc) It performed flawlessly. Upon arrival the gun was a little tight; but I think that once it is broken in I will love it even more. It is extremely accurate; and feels really comfortable in my hands (average size hands). I would recommend this gun for anyone looking for a 1911 with 14+1 capacity; this is the gun. One con would be the finish on internal components are exhibiting slight wear already. I will be looking into cerakoting the entire gun in the near future to prevent any malfunctioning. Great gun!

Wonderful gun!! I especially like the magazine capacity, night sights, ambidextrous safety (being left handed), and the power of a 45ACP. I expected the gun to have a much larger grip since it is a double stack 45, but it fits my medium size hands perfectly. My first 10 shots with it were fairly wild, but then something clicked and the gun now shoots fist size 5 shot groups at 45 feet. I really like this gun. Bud's is very reliable and an honest company to deal with, but I object to the 5 day delay when paying using the E-check method.

I ordered this as my new duty gun and it does not disappoint! This thing is amazingly accurate and after breaking the magazines in it performs flawlessly. I am extremely happy with this purchase and will definitely continue to use Buds for my future purchases!

I bought my Black Ops 10/09/14 for $1020 ON A "Make Offer Deal". The same pistol today is selling for $858, and it's under the "Make Offer Deal". Don't be too quick to purchase a pistol here, wait for the price to come down. I am quite satisfied with the pistol, it's every thing advertised and then some......I think everyone outta have one, or two

I bought both the 5" and the Recon version of this pistol. Fit and finish was excellent and have run about 400 rounds through each without any feeding/extraction issues. Was impressed with these when I saw at SHOT show and I talked extensively with Hunter the head engineer of these pistols and he was both knowledgeable and passionate about the guns Para is turning out these days. These are the first Para pistols that I've ever wanted and so far they have fulfilled my needs.

Great gun, with plenty of rounds to back it up. Got it today,cleaned and checked it out and off to the range. That didn't last long, the mosquitoes were more numerous than the bullets I had. Every thing worked great. I did have a Hogue finger grip for it. My comrade has one and I wanted a finger grip for mine. This is my first 80 series 1911, but that isn't a problem for me. Buds service is good as usual.
