I bought two these at the same time. Wanted a couple of cheap centerfire rifles that shoot cheap ammo and don't kick, so that the kids can practice and plink at longer ranges. They shoot fine, but don't like some of the 5.56 loads. Both had multiple issues with light firing pin strikes on ammo designed for AR rifle. There were no issues at all with various .223 factory loads. Several factory loads shot less than an inch at 60 yards, which will generally translate to the same at 100 yds. Hopefully in the next couple weeks, I'll find a 300 yard range open and can test accuracy on it. These aren't varmint rifles, so I don't expect heavy barrel accuracy. I only shot 50 gr and 55 gr loads.
Likes: Balance is good, trigger too. The shape of the stock feels ok, you can adjust the length of pull to suit the shooter. Fit and finish is on par for the price.
Dislikes: I hate, absolutely HATE, soft touch coating on stocks. They suck, plan and simple. I'm in the process of trying a couple of different paints and coatings to see if I can get something I like on it.
Given a short bolt throw, it's a bit tougher for kids to run since it takes more to lift the bolt and cam the cocking piece. They got used to it quickly though.
Hard to find the info, but I believe that this is a 1:12 barrel, so forget about running heavy bullet loads though it. Wish it was 1:8 or 1:9 twist, to have more options.
It's a challenge to find a decent .223 rifle for under $500. This works for it's purpose.

Just bought this rifle last week...sighted in very easy...shots all day long within 2 inches at 100 yards...i'm a novice shooter...buds service was great...second rifle i've bought from them without a hitch
