  No SAAMI does have a standard for +P+ so no manufacturer will rate their guns for it from the S&W shield owners manual It is expressly stated no +P+ in the shield owners manual page 11 https://www.smith-wesson.com/sites/default/files/owners-manuals/M&P_Shield_All_Cals_06-01-16.pdf

• Q: I got an email for this at a price of 219 after 50 dollar rebate. Can anyone direct me to the right link. This is the pistol the email sent me to. Thanks in advance

  Hi Alex, I received it as well.
  The link it sends you/us to is correct.
  The way the rebate works is you have to purchase the gun at the regular price and then a rebate check for the difference will be sent to you at a later time. You would have to go thru a process and do a little waiting but it would be well worth it.

• Q: Can I buy a gun without having a ccw?

  Aaron, Check your state laws. You can go to BUDs catalog home page and check 'State Restrictions' and see if you need a FOID card or Conceal Carry permit to buy a handgun like in Illinois or Minnesota. Most free states have no such restrictions.

• Q: Is this hand gun able to safely fire plus p ammunition?

  D J, yes Sir. The S&W Shield will handle +P no issues. I have used winchester white box 100ct, federal bulk, blazer aluminum casing, blazer brass, and remington UMC all 115gr, some winchester 147gr hollow point, Remington 115gr hollowpoint and for a personal protection round Winchester PDX1 defender hollowpoint 124gr +P. No jams, misfeeds or any other problems with any of it. They all feel about the same, except the +P, which has a bit more recoil. So far I have run 500 rounds through mine. Load up and have fun!
• Q: What all comes with m& p shield 9 mm just ordered didn't see anything stating the fact

  Robert, this pistol comes in a S&W Branded Cardboard Box with owners manual, warranty registration card (2) Magazines (One 7 rd. & One 8 rd.), cable lock and orange plastic chamber blocker.
