The CenterFire laser mounts directly to the frame without changing out parts or altering your firearm – user installed in minutes. The constant red beam sits just under the bore for highest accuracy and prevents your finger from blocking the beam. Patented ambidextrous activation for right or left-handed shooters with a distinct on/off switch that turns the laser on only when you need it. Controlled Activation™ puts you in charge. • Location of the distinct on/off switch puts your finger in the ready position. • Weight: 0.7oz. • Wavelength: 650nm (red). • Power Output: 5mw. • Battery: 1/3 N Lithium (1) included. • Battery Life: Over 4 hours. • Adjustment: Factory aligned at 10 yards, user adjustable for windage and elevation.

This little laser was quite inexpensive and I didn't have high expectations. However, it has proven to be well worth the money. I like the simple actuation rather than some grip-actuated like my S&W638/Hogue. Easy to reach the on/off, easy to calibrate. I own the original Shield 9mm which has this, now, and I'm considering buying a second one for my 2.0 version.

Works great. I would say if you have a Shield you need this Laser. I am very pleased with the easy of use. I teach Concealed Carry and have had students who have never shot and those who shoot alot try it and never have a problem. Works best in low light or shadowed areas but was still visable in bright sun light out to about 20 yards.
