This is a nice light and accurate rifle. I like the floating barrel and factory-installed optic mount. The pistol grip and lightweight make it easy for my kids to handle and shoot accurately. The bolt is smooth and it's easy to reload. No complaints whatsoever. Great rifle.

Just a fair shooter. Cannot get bolt out to clean. Have to drop trigger assembly. If I had known this was made in Brazil I would not have bought it. Have talked with mossberg rep. Not worth the trouble to send back. Mossberg is going downhill on this firearm. Not Buds fault but I dont know if I would even sell this. I know its cheap and you get what you pay for. Probably my last Mossberg product. Buds did offer the payment to ship it back for me. Did not want to be without it for 3-4 weeks.

This HMR is a joy to shoot....smooth trigger action and super accurate. I have purchased over 20 firearms from Buds in the past year or two and have never had an issue with the service or the quality.. Furthermore, best prices on the net... Thank you Buds !! Gary

I received the Mossberg 817 from you via my local dealer, Boondocks Army Surplus, last Thursday. The weather being halfway decent today I took it to my gun club's range to try it out. I'd mounted a Nikon Prostaff Riflescope on it. I sighted it in and was very pleased with the results. So far I've used Hornady 17 grain V-Max and CCI 17 grain V-Max. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I love this rifle for the price, very accurate. Having some issues with shells from clip to barrel but may get better with use. Overall I enjoy the rifle

This was my first purchase from Bud's. It was very simple and straight forward. Ordered on a Monday, and it shipped the following Monday. I was expecting a longer delay because I used the E-Check payment method. The rifle arrived at my FFL on the following Wednesday. I mated the rifle with a Simmons 22 Mag Scope. I really enjoyed shooting it - it's deadly accurate a 100yds. As others have mentioned, the bolt is sticky, but I think it will loosen up over time. The total cost of the rifle after transfer, scope, and rings around $230. I am very happy with this rifle. I would recommend to anyone who is budget conscience.

Nice looking gun, better than the pics show. The magazine doesn't want to push the bullets up correctly, which resulted in the gun jamming. Don't recommend this gun...
