2nd purchase from Buds. Buying is a painless process and shipping was fast. The Para Expert Commander is a solid weapon with great fit and finish. It is a pleasure to shoot and accurate. For the price, quality and made in America, I believe this was a great deal and I am very pleased.

Very Nice 1911 Commander. The sights are nicer than I thought, the adjustable trigger is nice. The aluminum frame makes for a very nice and accurate carry piece.

Over 700 rounds of 200 gr. LSWC and 200 gr. LRNFP, no malfunctions. Trigger was a little rough, but with hammer hook stoning to a smooth surface, it is now a smooth 3.75 pounds. Point of impact was 5.5 inches low at 25 yards. The taller .210 rear sight from Dawson would not fit the dovetail cut. The dovetail cut was cut too deep at the factory. The slide had to be sent off to Dawson and they made a one off rear sight to fit the dovetail and to get the elevation I needed. Barrel fit was not great, but I am not going to spend the money to fit a match barrel. It will group 2 inches at 15 yards off hand. The thumb safety had too much downward movement, but that was fixed by adding JB weld to the safety notch and fitted to now bottom out on the frame properly. So to say the least, the $100 rebate was spent on fixing the pistol. It is now a very good basic LW commander. Expect to do some work to get it right, but the base material are good.

I am a licensed Gunsmith and FFL. I just received my own personal Para Expert Commander. This is a very high quality 1911. Dont let the low price fool you. When you lock the slide back in the open position there is zero end shake or movement. Even with the action open it feels like the gun is one solid piece of metal. The slide to frame fit is second to none. I took it to the range yesterday and had no malfunctions what so ever and the the gun went bang every time. Fit and finish I would rate 10 out of 10. The adjustable trigger was a tad "squishy" for me, even after adjustment. It is by no means the worst I have ever seen on guns that cost a lot more if not double the price of this one and I am a bit of a trigger snob. I would still rate the para factory trigger a 9 out of 10. After I got it home I disabled the gun everything internally looked perfect! They also do a very nice job on the polished feed ramp. I would have no problem recommending this firearm. I plan on using it as my everyday carry.

Finally got to the range for test firing. Finish is very well done, the action is tight, excellent trigger very smooth. No failures of any kind. Groups were tight and consistent. Very pleased and would definitely recommend it.
