Guillermo, Way to many prohibited features to be shipped to a restricted state like IL. Additionally, the following rifles or copies or duplicates thereof are specifically prohibited: 1927 Commando; or Uzi, Galil and Uzi Sporter, Galil Sporter, or Galil

Hi Anwar, Yes this is TX Legal.

I know last week this would not be compliant but now that the magazine capacity ban has been lifted (for now) and since this is a rimfire rifle... is it legal in California now?

Jason - not sure if Buds is shipping this to CA or not ... I would think they would. Especially since CA restrictions state "Rimfire caliber rifles are not considered “assault weapons” and can have features that centerfire rifles cannot". But to be sure, give them a call at 1-859-368-0371 (9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri) or use the "chat now" button located at the bottom right hand portion of your screen, (9am-9pm EST 7 days a week). Things are still so 'up in the air' it will take a bit for all the dust to settle.

I think it would be I suggest that you Contact customer service (859) 368-0371 available 9AM to 9PM CST Monday through Friday or use the blue chat now button . and also that you ask your local FFL as he would be the one doing the paperwork you could also buy the CA legal 10 round version then buy the high capacity mags to fit it and not have to worry if it is CA compliant or not

Jason, no Sir. The current law pertains to the Magazine only. The firearm, with it's current features, itself is still restricted in Cali unfortunately.

Hey thank you for your answers guys. I have another question. If the mag was modified to hold only 10 rounds and becomes fixed so its not detachable, i can keep the folding stock and other ‘evil’ features? Would it then be legal in NY? One guy on youtube that lives in NY made his 10 round mag not detachable or fixed to his AR-15 and he was able to keep the pistol grip and collapsible stock. I think the same can apply to the Uzi rifle?

Taulant - It would be interesting to see how "that guy" loads his magazine, if it isn't detachable ... The problem is this gun can't be shipped to NY as it is now, and Buds can;t modify it for you, in order to ship it. Were it just a problem with the 10 round magazine, Buds might be able to just remove teh magazine, but it is the 'detachable' part, along with the stock, that make it illegal. IT simply can;t be shipped in the present configuration because it would be in violation of NY laws, and if it were shipped to an FFL there, the FFL wouldn't be able to transfer it to you and would have to return it to Buds - which would incur fees on your part for the restock fees, etc. I truly feel bad for you man, but NY is just very difficult. I hear the housing prices in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia or Alabama aren't bad! :-) Good luck Taulant.

My advice is to talk with local gunsmiths and a FFL holder and get their advice the also local law enforcement may have a contact that can help keep you out of trouble we just don't know,

Let me say this first..Buds have had everything and prices are spot on..folks this is my 4th or 5th firearm purchase in the last 2 year's.that alone should tell you something.ok now the review.this .22lr Uzi is absolutely one of the best plinkers I have fired.it's very silent hardly no recoil.I had no issues with ammo or ammo feed..no problems..over 1000 rounds no problem.gun looks great...only thing I recommend and it has nothing to do with the firearm the way it fires..is to be careful folding the stock ..this to me is operator error..if you get in a rush and don't pay attention.you will pinch your skin..after I slowed down..problem was solved..

Buds never lets me down with buying from them. The firearm came in literally 2 days. The finish of it is nice. It is on the heavy side for a firearm of that caliber but who cares. Chews rounds like a champ. It was excessively oiled from the factory so might have to open it and wipe some of that oil off but amazing firearm and gets you a lot of looks at the range. It’s near impossible to find an additional magazine for it I’ve looked all over but hopefully they’ll restock somewhere and I can get my hands on one.

I bought this gun in the summer of 2018 just because I wanted a cool .22lr and this one fit the bill. I haven't had any issues with it and it runs like a dream. Bud's service was awesome and I will be buying from Bud's again.

This is one of my favorite guns. Like the original Uzi, this gun is heavy. It shoots well and it's fun to shot. No misfires during my 1st few hundred rounds. Field stripping and cleaning this gun can be a bit tricky but there are videos on Youtube on that. My only issue is that it comes with only 1 magazine. Other than that, it's cool gun.
