I've read a few online reviews that say the trigger is not that great and not too much available aftermarket? Any owners care to comment?

Greg, Anybody that complains about the trigger weight, pull, break or smoothness of this FNH firearm just can not shoot. The trigger is a fine striker fired trigger. No stacking. Smooth pull. Crisp break. Positive reset. Little long would be my only comment. But do not have to pull all the way back to trigger guard.

The trigger is livable. With practice, once you develop trigger break memory, it really is not that bad at all.

What's the difference between this and model 66760 (identical but no safety) that is selling for far less?

If the 66760 is cheaper it's probably because of the no safety. I'm looking at a handgun and the one with no safety is cheaper. I'm sure the ones with no safety are cheaper to manufacture. Just my thoughts.

Finally got to the range today, love the FNS .40. Put 200 rounds mixed bag of ammo through it including some hot hard cast ammo and no problems. A pleasure to shoot.

Price has come down substantially since I purchased this excellent handgun. Extremely dependable, have had only 2 F2Fires in about 2000 rounds (both in the same batch of very cheap ammo- both had solid primer strikes, you be the judge) I have a number of handguns and if the SHTF, this without a doubt, is THE choice I’d make.
