• Q: If an 1100 barrel comes with three rem chokes (IC, mod and full) would the barrel be skeet without one of the chokes? What is rem 10?

  do not shoot a rem choke gun without a choke tube installed at best it would put plastic and lead fouling in the threads at worst it could damage the threads This barrel comes with 4 Choke tubes of which one is "Skeet" (four interchangeable RemChoke tubes in Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Light Modified and Modified). A skeet choke should have a constriction of about 0.005". A cylinder choke has no constriction . the choke constriction is found by subtracting the diameter of the choke tube from the diameter of the barrel (standard 12 ga 0.729 standard 12 ga skeet choke is 0.724 or .005 constriction All in inches: - Cylinder - 0.000 -- Skeet - 0.005 -- Improved Cylinder - 0.010 -- Light Modified also sometimes called Skeet II - 0.015 -- Modified - 0.020 -- Improved Modified - 0.025 -- Light Full - 0.030 -- Full - 0.035 -- Extra Full - 0.040.
