returned mine to remington. this was around the time remington acquired marlin? i suspect QC was limited and there were lumps in the stock, the "S" for safety was stamped barely ledigble, and spent casings wouldnt extract. waited 6mo's with no progress from remington, where they eventually sent me a refund stating there werent any replacements.
