Remington V3 SPORT 12 GA 28" 3IN RC2 Walnut - Blue/Black, 28" Barrel, 3 Rounds, Wood, 3" Chamber, Walnut Stock

This was my second walnut field V3 (the other a 26”) and I love both of them. They have been through 5 seasons of pheasant hunts, and trap shooting during the off-seasons, without a single jam, misfire or problem. The only repair was a replacement of the fore end of one that got cracked by an accidental drop. They certainly have a lot more parts to clean than my Wingmaster, but their ease of use in the field makes up for it. Both the gun and Bud’s service and pricing have been a delight.

What a great shotgun. I have probably put over 1,000 rounds thru this gun in two months. Never a jam. It is a very, very light recoil, more like a push than a punch. After 50 or so rounds of heavier loads, I now only shoot light loads, probably around 1,100 or 1,075 fps. It cycles them great. I have been busting clays like crazy. Someone mentioned the hand guard has two holes that have been covered. At first I thought the same, but it is a brass pin that goes thru the hand guard, making it stronger. It has no gaskets that will have to be replaced (none that I have found). The walnut is nice. Not drop dead gorgeous, but nice. It is easy to clean. It fits great, but do wish it came with shims. To me, it fits like a Remington 870, which I like. I would estimate that the recoil is 50% or less of an 870. I was also looking at Beretta, Benelli, and Browning but decided on this shotgun (for almost 1/2 the price). I am glad I did. I think Remington has a BIG winner.

Nice handling 12 ga. Much softer shooting that my Maxus. Wood nice, but not quite as nice as an 11-87. Great value with the price point. Performed flawlessly on the first 2 boxes of shells.

The Remington V3 is quite possibly the best 12 gauge autoloader produced today. Very reminiscent of the original but superb Remington 1100. The front-loaded dual-piston gas system is ingenious. You can go 2000 rounds without a cleaning. The breakdown is simple can be done in minutes. Cleaning is a breeze. Hopefully, the V3 is another step forward for Remington and bring them back to prominence. Thanks to Bud's I was able to buy my walnut addition V3 at an incredible price. I highly recommend this fine shotgun.

The Remington V3 was received in a timely manner & well packaged. As anticipated, it is a very handsome gun & it fits me well. I was happy it also came with 2 additional choke tubes and a chamber lock. My only critique is the forearm wood has two (2) small holes on each side that have been filled & stained. However the stain is a 'lighter' color than the dark fine dark walnut finish so the four (4) 'fill' holes are very noticeable & takes away from the otherwise nice finish look. Suggest they use a 'darker' stain that would not be as prominent.

Took the gun out for the first time. Fit and finish were excellent, functioned flawlessly with light 1 oz loads and heavier 1 1/8 oz loads. This is my 12-year old's new trap and hunting gun and he loves it. The gun is light enough for an 110 lb boy to handle and it swings well for him. Even as light as the gun is the recoil was very tame, in fact, it may be tamer than my Browning Maxus. While I love my Maxus if this gun was around then I probably would have gone with this model. So far excellent product and the sale went off without a hitch.
