This is everything that one could ask for in a 357 revolver. Great balance; adjustable sights; weight appropriate for magnums; nice finish work.

First, as always, dealing with Bud's (Lexington KY) was great. Now, on to the GP-100...This is an excellent revolver! But that is what I have come to expect from Ruger. Every revolver I have purchased of theirs, and there have been many, have been smooth, accurate and utterly reliable. The GP-100 Match action is even more so. It compares favorably with my "old model" stainless Python and my older S&W large frame revolvers. If we are ever restricted to only carrying wheel guns, this will be my EDC. Well done Ruger, and thank you Bud's!

Purchased from Budsgunshop.com using an electronic check. It did take a while for the funds to clear, as they let you know. When waiting on gun you've been wanting for a few years to show up to your FFL it felt like it took forever. I was in the market for a revolver and I had it narrowed down to either the GP 100 match champion, or a S&W 686. The GP100 went on sale at Buds and the price dropped over $100, and was cheaper than anywhere else I've seen it for, so I figured it was meant to be! Other than feeling like it was taking forever to get here the gun arrived as Buds said it would, and they emailed me to keep me updated on its status which I greatly appreciated.
When it arrived I picked it up at my local FFL without any issues either. I took it out to the range and to see if she was everything I dreamed of. The first few shots with .38 spl were great. The trigger was nice and smooth, and felt like it had seen extra attention at the factory like you pay for when getting the Match Champion version. BUT, then I noticed that the action felt a little stiff on the next couple shots. I figured I'm new to double action revolvers, and maybe it needs a little break-in time for the action. I kept shooting and noticed that the stiffness in the action would come and go irregularly, and happened both when pulling the trigger in double action, and when pulling the hammer back to use in single action. Other than the action feeling stiff every now and then everything else felt great. Recoil with .38's felt barely there, and so easy to control, while the .357 mag's definately punch you in the hand, but are not overly uncomfortable, and i felt I could shoot all day long if I had the ammo! After taking it home, worked through the action and did some dry firing and noticed the action stiffness was happening on the same to bores/chambers, and after inspecting it more closely I could see that the carbon build up on the front of the cylinder was rubbing the forcing cone of the barrel. So I cleaned the pistol thoroughly, and scrubbed the front of the cylinder. The action cycled smoothly again through all bores as it did when it was brand new. I took it out a second time to the range a few weeks later and again noticed the action stiffness. After just one cylinder of ammo the barrel and cylinder were again rubbing on the same two bores. After looking closer I could tell that the barrell-cylinder gap was so tight at the top of the barrell for those two bores that you couldn't see any light between the two (even after cleaning the cylinder and barrel again). I was crushed my new dream gun was not functioning as it should.
I was able to contact Ruger, and they emailed me a pre-paid FedEX shipping label and told me to send it in. When on the phone I let them know that I also noticed that there scratchs on the hammer where it looked like it was rubbing against the frame which shouldn't happen if the hammer and trigger were shimmed. They took the note down and said they'd check on it as well. I sent my revolver off to Ruger, and got it back within 12 days! I was thinking it would take them at least 3 weeks to get it back to me. When I recieved my revolver I looked over the notes that came with it, and here's what they did to it.
"Replaced crane, hammer, trigger and pawl. Smoothed Action Repair, safety check, range test, & cleaning have been completed" So they replaced some major components and took the time to smooth it up! I inspected it immediately and the cylinder/barrel gap was uniform and just allowed a sliver of light to be seen for every bore. And they made the trigger smoother, which I though it was smooth to begin with, but wow did they make it even better! I took it out to the range that following weekend and probably put over150 rounds through it with out a single issue. All problems were solved and now my dream pistol is PERFECT!
I give this 5 stars because even though the quality control for my pistol was lacking to begin with, Ruger stepped up, and made it right. They didn't charge me anything, and the went above in beyond in their attention to fix it and improve it, and they did it in a timely fashion! That is awesome customer service and is one of the reasons I've always wanted a Ruger firearm, and will probably buy more Rugers in the future.
P.S. Sorry for the long post. The main point I guess is that if you buy a Ruger you won't regret it, because if it is not perfect when you recieve it, just get a hold of them, and they will make it right!!

This revolver feels great in the hand, I love the grip. I like the trigger and the weight of the gun. I use it for IDPA and USPSA, it is way more accurate than I am and runs like a dream. I also have a few thousand rounds through it. I alternate between this revolver and the Chiappa Rhino 40 DS in IDPA. I love the grip so much I put on on my GP100 .22lr.

I handled many revolvers before deciding to buy this one, mostly SW 686, and this just fit my hand much better than the rest and felt amazing. I have shot ~500 rounds through this gun and it is a real pleasure to shoot, I like it in both SA and DA. Would strongly recommend it.

Purchasing a firearm from Buds was a good experience, my only objection is the time it took to actually get the piece. 10 days is a long time to wait fro something you've paid for in advance, The product was a advertised and perfect when i received it.

Buds did an awesome job with delivery to Maine. Was sent out the next day! Thanks Now the GUN : Looks AWESOME!! Trigger pull is GREAT Quality is up there with S&W Shoots pretzel ring groups at 40 feet, not bad for a 4 inch barrel!! Wood grip is my favorite! I have large hands and was planning on some custom grips. Won't be needing them with this gun!! This is a Custom Gun at a average price! Would suggest this gun to anyone looking for a 357 Mag Revolver.

This order was so easy with Bud's partnership with certain FFL holders. The revolver is great with nice touches such as a smooth-sided trigger and chamfered cylinder holes. I've owned S&W revolvers for 50 plus years but I refused to buy one with the internal lock. I am extremely pleased with the Ruger 1755.

I'm a little disappointed in Ruger on this one, the finish was great, but at first look the sights just had to be off. The front sight was installed all the way to the right, the rear sight was adjusted all the way to the left. So I left it like that & went to the range and as I was hoping I was just on the edge of a 8" target at 10 yards so I made some adjustments but the front sight moved too easy, so went home & centered sight using loc-tite. Went back the next day & sighted it in. In my opinion it should have never left the factory like this, I've purchased quite a few hand guns & have never had one this off. Must have been made on Friday at quitting time. The Blackhawk I purchased at the same time was perfect. Also I think the grip could be fitted better there's a 3/16 gap at the top that I would think shouldn't be there.
