This is one of my favorite guns to shoot, lots of fun. My only complaint is the takedown and reassembly is a bit of a pain.

There is not a better one on the market. I would buy another today. I installed a red dot scope and use it for varmints to sharpen my skills

First of all, great price and smooth sales transaction through Buds Gun Shop & Salt City Pawn (my local dealer). I finally got a chance to take my brand new Hunter to our gun club for some serious testing. I only experienced one failure to eject while shooting 100 rounds of Walther High Velocity HP Ammo. Not bad at all. Accuracy was great with my older Tasco Propoint mounted on it. every shot within a 2 inch circle at 25 yards freehand.

The Ruger MarkIII Hunter - what a beautiful shooter. This so far has shot everything I've put in the mag: good CCI stuff to the ratty big box unplated stuff. After a break-in of about 500 rounds (not needed it appears), I mounted a Millet red dot and could not be happier - now competitive at 25 yrds. The Hunter barrel saves a couple ounces over the Target model, making the red dot add on about a wash from the other long barrel MK III's. This is not only a great shooter, plinker, varmint hunter, it's a keepsake. Don't listen to all the whining about cleaning, it's not that bad - although I do appreciate the simplicity of my Buckmark even more now. As always, Buds was great and the thing just showed up like expected.

This gun shipped quickly from buds.. The finish on it is very nice and it shoots great. The only bad thing about this gun, is the time it takes to disassemble and clean it. But with practice, it isnt that bad. Great gun for all skill levels.

Having owned Ruger 22 Standards since my 20's it is good to see Ruger making meaningful improvements as they keep churning out these handguns. The Hunter IIi is one of the best I have owned. I didn't blink an eye at paying the price that Bud's is asking today! This gun is superb in every regard. Love it! And Bud's is GREAT. I look forward to a life long relationship with them as my premier source for firearms!

I've purchase (3) guns recently from Bud's and have to say there my GO TO when I purchase a firearm. Great Service and good people to do business with.. I took the new Ruger out to the range and shot 100 rounds. Not one misfire and all shots were within tight groups at 25'.. Very happy with this pistol and its performance.

I purchased this weapon on a Thursday and it was delivered to my FFL on Monday afternoon. Budsgunshop again has deliverd with great customer service and and awesome product. The weapon came as promised with two magazines, scope rail, padlock and an internal safety key. Budsgunshop, again, delivered with an excelent price of $470.00. Ruger's MSRP is $670.00. Can't beat the price. Disasembly was a little rough at first but after a couple of disassembly / reassemblys, I have no problem. Haven't shot it yet but plan to do so with CCI 40 Gr Mini Mags. Will post again after it has been fired.

Have had this gun for about 2 months now and have shot Federal Champion 40 gr., Federal Champion 36 gr and CCI Blazer 40 gr all in bulk ammo. 5000 or 5250 per purchase. The best shooting ammo has been CCI Blazer with no problems so far at all with over 1000 rounds. The Federal Champion 40 gr has about one No Fire per box of 50. The Federal Champion 36 gr has about one No Fire per 100 rounds. I have shot approximately 1000 Fed 40 gr and about 1000 Fed 36 gr. The No Fires have an indenture in the rim and if I just manually reload that same cartridge it almost always fires. I have only had one that would not fire with the same cartridge reloaded manually at least 5 times and then I gave up on that one. I believe the problem here is the ammo itself and not the gun and I am ok with an occasional no fire, but intend to stick with CCI Blazer from here out. Very accurate and I really like the trigger compared to my Glock. This gun is fun to shoot and with a nice trigger pull it is very accurate. The disassmebly seemed comples at first, but after a few times it is pretty easy to disassemble and clesn and re-assemble. Ruger has a video that makes it easier and there is also one on you tube. I believe it is easier to watch someone do the breakdown than read about it in the manual. As for Buds everything went great and will look to them again for my next gun purchase.

Our stainless Hunter version is the least finicky pistol in our extensive collection of .22lr semi's. I have yet to find a type of cartridge that it won't eat. Believe it or not, it even eats Winchester X-pert with aplomb (yes, I bought a box of this stuff). It is also as accurate as any other low or mid-level .22lr semi. Trigger is not as good as that found on the Buckmark, but it is better than a 22A or Neos. Fit and finish is the best of the low and mid-level .22lr semi's. A nice touch is the inclusion of a scope mounting rail. I appreciate the fact that you can choose whether or not you want to have a rail on your pistol. Stripping/reassembly is a very complicated affair, but as long as you can follow instructions, you will be fine. Just don't ever loose the instructions. Overall, a fine pistol -- one that will hold up to generations of use. Every household should have a MKIII of some type.....

The gun is GREAT, but I'm also real pleased with the service I got from these folks. I'll be buying a lot more from them in the future. I couldn't have asked for a better transaction. It's nice when you spend for or five hundred dollars on something, that people keep you informed about the transaction every step of the way (like bud's) instead of acting like they are doing you a favor by taking your money.....

Great 22. I'm glad I bought it before the price went up. It is still a good deal at $445 but outstanding at $391! Accurate and fun to shoot. Fit and finish isn't on par with Buckmark but still a great pistol!!
