Taurus 66 Years ago had one. Quality still above average. I prefer the 6” barrel when firing 357 mags. Would recommend and buy again. Gerald L

Haven't fired it yet, but it seems to be a good quality handgun. Being a 7 shot 6 inch revolver with a full barrel lug, it is much lighter than I was expecting. I did notice a small amount of play in the cylinder with the hammer down, but it locks up tight when the hammer is pulled back. I don't know if this is normal for revolvers. I owned a few 357's 20 some odd years ago, and don't remember if they were like this. The only negative I can say about this gun is the red insert on the front sight could be brighter. I would definitely buy one again.

Really fun to shoot, as its size means less kick. Can you say Dirty Harry? Shot the 38 special fine, but had one 357 spent shell stuck in the gun. Need to clean and see if it occurs again.

I have been looking for a new revolver that was not super expensive and still be well built, after looking at the reviews on the Taurus model 66 and videos of it I decided on picking one up, it looks and feels really good I haven't had it out to shoot it yet but that will be happening soon, I have never purchased a firearm online before but Buds made it really easy to do so. It was in my price range and shipping was really quick, I appreciated that they kept me informed of my order from start to finish, I will be ordering more from Buds in the future they are awesome to deal with.

Excellent revolver, 100 plus rounds and no malfunction whatsoever, my sole complaint; and that's on me since this was my first and only revolver, I found cleaning it somewhat difficult, other than that great buy.

I bought this as a sidearm for Deer hunting. It's solid and well built. I also put some wood aftermarket grips and that makes it sparkle. Definitely makes you feel safe knowing you're packing a 357 magnum. 1234567. Thanks Bud's

I searched for couple months for a Taurus model 66 357 magnum with 6 inch barrel. I had one years ago really enjoyed it. Killed several deer with it. Had recently decided to buy another one. Everywhere I looked was out of stock. I finally ran across Buds on the internet and they had it in stock. Buds also had it listed cheaper than a lot of other places I had checked. I placed an order with Buds and they shipped it to a local pawnshop near me to do transfer to me. When I went to pawnshop to do transfer they said they get an average of about 20 guns per week from Buds to do transfers. Felt good knowing that many local people were buying from Buds. The gun has shot really well so far. Shooting Mt Dew cans at 50 yards. Just waiting on deer season to really try it out. Looking at some other guns so will probably be ordering from Buds again soon.. Buds has been a great place to deal with..

Yes its a Taurus and not a 686 but it is built well. Swap out the grips and spend some time with flitz and a polisher and you won't be disappointed. no issues to date. I am happy with it.

The old saying "you get what you pay for" certainly holds true with this firearm. I had heard that Taurus quality had improved but after only 7 rounds fired, the grip became loose and sloppy with no way to tighten it. Anybody looking for a 357 revolver, spend the extra money and stay away from this garbage.

I am new to shooting but I have always liked the idea of a revolver. This one was in my budget and I have shot 50 38 special as well as 50 .357 magnum rounds out of it, absolutely zero problems. For myself I felt 0 recoil from the 38 special and hardly noticed any recoil from the 357 mag ammo due to the heft of this fine revolver. So if you want to dip your toe into the magnum revolver world I suggest picking this one up, and as always great service from buds.

I love this revolver. It is a very nice gun for the money. Shoot, it's a very nice gun if it cost $200 more. The finish is some kind of grey looking coating/treatment on stainless steel. It doesn't leave fingerprints and is easy to clean, and it looks good once you get used to it. I added a Wolff spring kit to soften the trigger, and Hogue Pau Ferro grips. Went on etsy.com and bought a nice leather holster for it.
The backstory is I bought it as a truck gun. I planned to stuff it between the seat and console so it'd be handy if I needed it quickly when I was in the truck. I didn't plan to fancy it up with pretty grips and tooled leather holster. I was going to leave it bone stock and just get a cheap nylon holster for it. But it was so nice I couldn't resist. This revolver has character, get yourself one, you'll love it. Now I've got to find a different one for the truck, it would break my heart to mess this one up.
If you're on the fence about Taurus, I'll tell you about a gun review I read a while back. It was written by a guy that worked at a retail chain store that sold guns. The store had a liberal return policy, so if there was a problem with the gun the store would usually take the gun back and refund your money or send it off for you to have it repaired. He said that Taurus was usually the cheapest, so they sold way more of them than any other brand. I think he said something like 10 to one Taurus compared to all other brands combined. However, the return rate of the other brands outnumbered the return rate of the Tauruses by a good margin. I have owned a few Tauruses myself and have never had a problem. That being said, I have had problems with a S&W and Colt revolver. Your experience may differ from mine, if so, write a review, that's the only way we can establish a pattern.

I loved my buying experience with buds. They were fast to ship. Finding my fro dealer was fast. They have a large list of fro dealers to choose from. The price of my wheel gun was right where I was hoping to spend. Great company. I might try a layaway plan next time. I’d recommend buds gun shop anytime.
