Very nice. It was tight as expected. If you want this for CAS, you will need to do some work to get it ready for competition. But the wood is really nice and it is very well made. I highly recommend.

I will give budsguns a 4.9*'s only because the stock had a few minor scratches, and a little welding or solder Flux under the barrel bottom rib. Other than that very satisfied with my purchase and the price and thank you Bud's for fantastic quick shipping, 3days!!! The 2 issue's are not bad enough to cancel transfer of which was done. Overall, very satisfied repeat customer. I have probably purchased 30 to 40 firearms from you over many years as well as ammo, magazines, etc. I will continue to buy from Budsguns as long as is possible. I'm now 76 years young and have had many great experiences with budsguns. Keep up the good work! Pop's from Orlando

Two things I don’t like about this Stoeger…first it needs a better safety feature…the thumb activated safety doesn’t have any markings so you don’t really know if it’s in or off or how secure it is…a trigger lock safety would be better… Secondly for the price of this shotgun it has a cheap plastic butt plate…it should have been metal or rubber…

It’s exactly what I ordered. No frills nothing extra or fancy. Just a good old simple double barrel set up that can handle everything from #8 shot shells to 00 buck and 1oz. Slugs. This is my everyday carry gun in the mountains. Out here we’ve got everything from black bear to cottontails and this shotgun can handle it all.

Good day, I must say I was extremely ecstatic when I found the BUD'S online website. And with the opportunity to become a member is not only a plus. but a must If you're a person that has a need or want to purchase firearms online, and from being an out of state resident. Understanding and with a respect for all laws using a FFL locally works well, The Shot gun I purchased could not be found locally either. At first frustrating, but BUD'S to the rescue they really came thru, The staff both knowledgeable and professional attitude was over the top. And the fact that they excepted my certified check was one of the strongest selling points for myself. I was quite pleased with the timing of delivery, and the quality of the firearm was reassuring that you can trust them fully. I will be a repeat and steady customer. Look forward to repeating the process. Job well done BUD'S. Regards, Peter J, Conway. { Proud Veteran of the United States Army }.

I bought this shotgun just for cowboy action shooting. It is a tool I had to have to play the game. I'll start with what I like about this stoeger 12 gauge. Pros- it's affordable no frills business gun. - Fires every time no issues. - wood furniture is well made. - really it's the only shotgun I need for what I'm doing with it. Step up to the line and knock down a few targets. The Cons- Understand it's not a Thousand dollar gun. A friend let me handle one of his high dollar coach guns and there is a difference. The Stoeger is heavy. - The action is really tight. Will need some tuning. And keep in mind it may void the warranty depending on what you do like disabling auto safety. But hey it had to be done. Other than that I am very happy with it. I got her on Valentine's day so I named her Valentine. I hope this review helps someone in the decision process. Buds Gun shop team is very attentive to customers and will answer any questions you have.

Like my Uberti/Taylors '73 Winchester and Uberti Cattleman revolvers, I bought this coach gun for SASS cowboy action shooting. It's not a showhorse, it's a workhorse. The stock is beech, not walnut, and the lines aren't elegant. But it's reasonably priced, handles well, and sends lead shot downrange effectively. For SASS cowboy shooting, though, or even serious defensive use, it needs some fine-tuning. The good news is that two little changes can make this inexpensive workhorse a lot more slick and speedy. First, you need to polish the chambers so you can do fast reloads. This shotgun has extractors, not ejectors, which means a fired shotgun shell is lifted slightly out of the chamber when you open the breech, not thrown clear of the gun. When you need to do a fast reload, instead of picking the fired shell out with your finger, you want to be able to just give the opened shotgun a quick backward shove, and let inertia send the empties flying out. For this to work, the chambers must be slick and smooth (which is not how they come from the factory). The polishing is easy to do yourself, though, with no special tools or disassembly. This gun also has an automatic safety (meaning it automatically goes on 'safe' every time you close the action). While the safety is important to avoid unintentional discharges, if you need to reload and re-engage, not having to click off the safety for follow-up is faster and more efficient. Most cowboy action shooters modify the safety on this shotgun so it operates manually. HOWEVER - be aware that making that change voids Stoeger's warranty.

The Stoeger Coach Gun is a very well-made firearm with a solid feel and comprised of quality materials. It is also well balanced which, along with its compact size, makes it ideal as both a sporting and home defense weapon. The trigger is crisp, with minimal “slop” and the action is smooth with no play or rattle whatsoever. My only complaint is that ejector only pushes out spent casings a short distance, requiring the shooter to extract them manually the rest of the way, but that’s a minor distraction. Overall, I find this shotgun as easy to use as it is enjoyable to shoot, and would recommend it to anyone.

Received the coach gun today and test fired it. Gun performed well and held an 18in pattern
with nbr 4 shot at 21 feet. Will make an excellent home defense weapon. Gun kicks like
a mule so will have to invest in a limbsaver to make the recoil more manageable. Nothing
fancy but good gun for close range. Gun is tight and feels very solid. Fourth purchase
from buds and all have arrived quickly and in good condition.

Since purchasing the Stoeger 12 gauge coach gun, I have been laid up with a severe leg injury that has precluded me from shooting. Thus I can't comment on the barrel regulation or choke patterns. That said, the "Coach Gun" is a well made, reasonably well finished, functional shotgun that serves it's purpose as a home defense gun loaded with #4 buckshot. I have already installed a Limbsaver recoil pad to make target shooting more enjoyable with heavy 3" shells. The purchase from Bud's was smooth, fast and easy, as usual. I would buy this gun again if needed.

The woodgrain was beautiful and the blue finish was superb. I will be using this for home protection. It is well balanced and the sight-picture comes immediately into view. An excellent purchase; I highly recommend it.
