Who knows why they stopped making these… what a powerhouse, when not shooting heavy loads, and when not failing to fire. The Stevens 301 is a much better version that is available these days.

It is a simple clean no frills 12 G shot gun. No problems so far. Note* It has a hell of a kick to it, being straight single barrel. Use a gel pad on the butte stock.

There is nothing bad to say about this simple, classic firearm. Except one thing.... the gun is beautiful! The wood is extremely gorgeous, and the quality is remarkable for a gun this price. A++++ to Bud's, for the 5th time....

What a fantastic single shot 12G! I couldn't be happier with the gun. It's got such a amazing trigger as to rival match guns. It's become one of my favorite shotguns! My only gripe is the solid plastic butt plate. For such a lightweight shotgun, it kicks a bit and should really have a soft rubber butt plate of some sort, but for the price point of the shotgun, I can't gripe too much.

First of all, I am a first time buyer from buds and I am very pleased with my purchase! Bud service was great I ordered on Tuesday and it came on Friday. As for the gun it looks awesome, I just received it today so I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I'm pretty sure that it will kick very hard seeing it has no recoil pad and is very light. It is very well put together, everying is tight and seems it is built to last. The price seems fair for the gun you get. I'm very satisfied and will be a returning customer, I can't wait to take it to the woods and shoot it!

Pros= Nice basic gun, simple action reliable as it can get, priced right accurate and there are lots of aftermarket goodies for this gun. Cons= Kicks like a mule, I'd suggest a recoil pad.
