Purchased this rifle a while ago, finally getting around to reviewing it. I really like shooting this rifle, accurate with little recoil. A little heavy but that was expected, seems to be very well made. Thanks Bud's and DPMS.

This is a Great gun for the price. Heavy and SOLID. The weight minimizes the recoil so its easy and a pleasure to shoot. Have not had a chance to make any long range shots yet, but I'm sure this weapon will have no trouble tearing out the black. Arrives in a plastic carry case as well.

I was nervous about buying a gun online, had never done it before, but it was super easy. The rifle came in last week and I took it out today. Only had time to do a quick 25-yard zero of the rifle but even with just the iron sights and a little wind all shots went in one jagged hole. Very happy with this rifle, it is heavy, but solid and well made. Can't wait to see how it performs with a good scope and longer range. I was looking for a good all-purpose field/battle rifle and this is it...looked at many before deciding on this one. Just like the M16 I carried way back when I was in the Marines but heavier and a bit bigger. Awesome rifle.

I got my gun yesterday & took it out today to sight in. It was just like my m16 in the service. I love shooting this rifle. Gonna be a great hunting gun. I came with 2 mags & a case not even in the description. great buy

I have not had it out at a shooting range as of yet. I like the quality and workmanship of this product. This is a heavy rifle but it should have a more moderate recoil due to more metal mass. For the money this rifle has some good optional features. I am writing my reviews after iI have owned theguns for a while so I don't know if this is still available. If it is buy it, you'll love it. Very well made, fit is excellent, shoots tight groups, isn't picky about ammo and will kill game, paper, or cans. You are recieving excellent value for your money with this rifle.

Can't say anything bad about Buds but this was the most difficult purchase I've ever made. Every review I've ever read was very positive but the processing and shipping took abnormally long and for the first time my transfer was delayed by NCIS. Now for the rifle; Cleaned it, took it to the range and at 100 yds could not figure out why it was shooting high. Took the handle off put the scope on and got it tuned in pretty easy. It wasn't until I got home and discovered that the rear sight was set at 800 instead of 0-300. It never occured to me that someone at the factory would ship it out that way. If it had been set properly I would have rated this 5 stars. Okay maybe the difficulty I had getting this rifle home had something to do with this rating. I would recommend this rifle because the recoil was the easiest 308 I've fired. It's easier than my AR chambered in 7.62x39.

This was my first purchase from Buds and I they did everything they promised. They shipped the rifle within 7 business days and I had it in my hands within 10 days. I threw a scope and a bipod and and hit the range. This rifle is a tank and is a blast to shoot. Once I got her to zero I was hitting bullseye from 200 yards out. I couldn't believe how accurate this rifle was, it was my first time shooting a rifle this size. I love this gun...

I have just completed 2 trips to the range now, and have some very good results so far. The first 15 rounds were shot simply to start barrel break in. The next 10 were put on paper with a Tasco 3-9x50 scope. It took about 6 shots to get a good zero, but then it was on. Very firm recoil, yet not unpleasant. Respectable is a better word for it. I did have 2 jams with it on both trips out. Only when the magazine was being used was there a problem. Single shots loaded by hand never failed. I contacted DPMS who told me to make sure the bolt and receiver were wet with lubricant. I did, and it jammed again. After reviewing multiple articles on the internet, I have discovered that many others have had this problem, and it is a magazine problem not a rifle problem. I am still researching it, and it doesn't happen everytime. Other than that, this rifle is amazing. Quite accurate at 450 yards. Very pleasant to shoot, and just looks awesome. You definitley need a picatinny rail riser to use a scope. Not so much for eye alignment, but you can't grab the charging handle to cock it because the scopes eye-piece blocks the access to it. I highly recommend this gun and I will come back and post if I find any other info about the jamming.

WOW! This is A LOT of gun! It just came in last night and I was truly taken by this weapon. I have handled AR-10's in the past, but all were the little 16 inch barrel versions with the collapsible stocks. This is a true machine. It is at least 50% larger than my .223 Bushmaster with a 20 inch barrel. Buds was very easy to deal with, even though I threw them a curve-ball with my FFL info. They don't mess around and they were completely honest when talking about shipping times. Very pleased with their service, and they saved me $400 from buying it locally. I will definitely leave a performance review here once I break in the barrel according to DPMS reccomendations. If you are looking for a well made fire-arm that is stout and beutiful this is it. Very, very tight between upper and lower receiver, a very strong recoil spring, and the lower receiver looks like it could be a tank if you put tracks on it. The only thing I would like different is the carry handle. Those of you with meaty fingers will have trouble holding the handle. Perhaps other models/brands also have the same issue. I can live with it, its not that big of a deal. Don't forget, this model has the forward assist, dust cover over the bolt, and bayonet lug. A lot of the other models do not have these features. And the 20 inch barrel is very nice too. Thank you Buds and DPMS, what a rifle, what a good value.
