Gun is great. Love how it shoots. Only negative is the case, which one of the plastic hinges broke within the first few time opening it.

I was happy to learn the XDS9 is just as accurate as what I saw in the You Tube videos.Love the trigger.

Had it a couple weeks now, sent a little more than 300 rounds down the tube. Not one failure of any sort. Also very comfortable to shoot, my buddy has a comparable s&w and we both prefer the Springfield. Little bit wider but more comfortable and just as easy to conceal. Overall 10/10 would buy again and I do plan on buying another XD

First off I owned an XDS in.45. I couldn’t get comfortable shooting it. I always felt i was about to lose control, I sold it. I just picked up an XDS in 9mm and I love it. As soon as it is financially feasible I will start the modification process. I’ll start with the trigger then maybe a new set of internal springs and of course a holster. I firmly believe this is the best concealed 9mm pistol available. I absolutely LOVE this piece. Go get one.

I am very impressed with the Springfield XD-S! From the minute I opened the excellent plastic case that the gun came in, I sensed "quality". I was not disappointed when I inspected the gun and the magazines. Everything about it was pristine. If you are like me, there is usually something about a new gun that I am disappointed in, but not this time. Shooting it confirmed that this is a high-quality, very shoot-able, concealed-carry handgun. It is a little heavier than most other single stack 9's, but the extra weight really helps mitigate recoil. The gun is still small enough to conceal quite easily, even though I would not consider it a pocket gun. I purposely chose to get the "Gen 1" version, because I happen to like the aggressive grip design, and I also like the appearance of the original version better than the new Mod 2. Having said that though, I have no doubts that the Mod 2 is every bit as good, if not better, than the original XD-S. The trigger is very good; not too heavy or too light for a double action carry weapon. The sights are what I would consider "best in class". It is extremely easy to acquire a good sight picture with the stock sights. The grip safety is a nice feature that does not interfere with operation of the gun at all. You don't have to try to press the grip safety. It just happens naturally with a proper grip. The grey color is an added bonus, and the gun looks awesome! I traded a gun for this gun, and Buds was very nice and responded quickly to each of my questions and messages. The customer service was much better than I had experienced in the past. I think the customer service seems to be much better online than over the phone.

If you care about looks this is for you. As polymer pistols go this one looks really cool. It runs perfectly and has great Springfield sights out of the box. Look at one in person before ordering as they are heavier than some others in the class. Great gun.

The hand grip is slimmer than I realized and has been hard to get used to when shooting it. My accuracy is improving though. The only issue I had was with the carrying case it came with, which had broken hinges. I contacted Springfield Amrory about it via email and never received a response. That sucks. Anyway, the gun is very light weight, compact and slim which is awesome for concealed carry. I strongly recommend it.

This handgun just feels good in my hand. Not too snappy on the trigger pull either. Bought a pair of them for my wife and I. Definitely recommend for anyone interested in a concealed carry piece.

Another successful purchase from buds. Ordered on a Tuesday morning and arrived to my FFL on Friday. This truely is the Glock killer. Made just as well as a Glock, the fiber optic sights are second to none, and the grip safety is a great extra dose of confidence while drawing or holstering. For the price, you won’t find a better carry pistol.

This is my fourth XD line pistol and as expected it did not disappoint. My three previous, XDm Compact, XDm Tactical & XDs 3.0 are all in .45 ACP. This is my first 9x19mm and I was tentive about having a lighter weight, smaller diameter projectile but, after my initial field testing, this pistol paired with Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P Short Barrel will provide excellent protection against bipedal predators. I was able to shoot a 4” eight shot group at ten paces fireing at a pace of one shot per second or less. Surprisingly even though the GD SB has 1150fps thru a 3.5” barrel factory test rating, when put over my Chrony I got a 1151fps average with a +/- 10fps deviation. Zero issues in day one field test of 200 rounds of Speer Lawman 124gr and 50 rounds of the Speer Gold Dot, mentioned above, that will be my CCW. One more day like that and it will be GTG and become my newest CCW. The provided flush and one shot extended mags are perfect. The extended mag lives in it in my shoulder bag and the short mag goes in when I transition to IWB carry. BTW, the one shot extended mag is way more comfortable to handle than the two shot extended mag I got for my 45 XDs. Now, for all of you corrupted by Magpul and it’s colors; (that’s me too, there are only a few things in my shop that don’t have a Magpul sticker on them) The gray frame on this thing is sweet. It matches exactly my Magpul Gray shoulder bag that is my daily CCW bag....and the gray Magpul IPhone and the gray Streamlight and the gray Boker Kalashnikov autolock that all ride in that gray bag. (and my gray Kalashnikov with Magpul furniture and my gray toenail polish.....probably could have left that last one out) I have never been a fan of two tone pistols cus’ it always meant silver and black, but black and gray or black and FDE, I can dig it. There is obviously no functionality in the color, but it does look good. Long and short of it, three thumbs up!

First let me say Im not a automatic gun lover, I prefer a wheel gun. With that said I love my xds. It shoots great and acurate. Feels good in my hand. A little on the heavy side for subcompact but worth the extra weight.

I researched for weeks before purchasing the XDs. I was looking for a 9mm striker fired without a manual safety to worry about. This caught my attention with the two passive safeties. As my first carry gun this seemed ideal. I have no regrets. Its compact size does not detract from the fun of shooting this at the range and the two safeties are reassuring when I carry it. Great gun, great deal. It was also my first purchase from Bud's and the transaction was a breeze. My buddies were shocked that I bought it online and not from one of the local dealers. But the price was better and they were surprised when I told them how easy and efficient the transaction was.

Solid performer with no issues. I received this gun in June 2017 and have put 200 rounds through it without any problems. A great little gun for conceal and carry.

excellent shipping, takes 5 days for ach to clear to get the cash discount. grip is aggressive I put talon's on it. cleaned and lubed ran 100 rds of fed fmj brass and a couple mags of speer golddot 124 gr p flawless. this gun shoots like a much bigger gun. Trigger creeps alot but didnt affect accuracy a bit. shot poa. (my xd sc mod 2 shoots 6 oclock). carrying in a sticky holster and a cheap amazon belly band. 3mile run with gun, mag and a cold steel 5inch voyager and barely noticed. custom aiwb kydex with mag pouch coming. 4 more mags from springfield (with the gray you get 2 flush fit 7's and 2 extended 8's I would have ordered the black frame for 2 8's and 2 9 rdrs oh well.) maybe some tritium sights and maybe the powder river trigger spring kit and done one heck of an edc. all in all so far heckuva gun.

My edc i love it. Not one issue yet cant say anything bad about it.

An excellent carry option. I carry this gun every day comfortably and confidently. This gun was a good value too especially with Springfield's Essentials package. A nice gun and six mags plus a cheap but functional owb holster and mag holster. How can you beat that. Love the two tone. My only criticism is that the texturing on the grip can start to rub you raw in the webbing of your hand after a while, but then again this is not supposed to be a range gun. I have approximately 1000 rounds through it with sevreal different types of ammo anD have not had a single malfuntcion.

This is my favorite among the flood of single-stack 9mm's that currently occupy the handgun market. This is my second time owning one of these, as I lost the first, when it was stolen from my vehicle. I paired it with an Aliengear IWB holster and used it as my Everyday Carry Gun (EDC). I like my original XDS so much, that life without it was unbearable, so I replaced it with the exact same gun with a slightly different color scheme. No external safety to have to flip in the heat of the moment, but functional grip and trigger safeties to increase your confidence. Factory magazines come in 7, 8, or 9 round varieties that all fit seamlessly with the factory grips. Fiber optic front sight shines brightly in the light. And I find the grip profile, with its different choice of backstraps a lot more acceptable to my larger hands than the G43 or the Shield (both fine weapons in their own right). I purchased both of my XDS's during Springfield rebates that included extra magazines and relevant gear. I'd recommend you do the same as Springfield seems to run the promotional once or twice every year. A few minor things that I feel I should note. While the grip is indeed grey, it is a darker grey and doesnt really contrast all that much with the black slide. If you've never held one of these before, It has a hard plastic, "nubby" style grip that is really low-friction. I suppose they made it this way because they figured the way most people carry it, it would be rubbing against skin, and this will create less irritation. I find the texture less than perfect, and use Talon Grips (or your preferred grip enhancement of choice) to get a feel more to my liking. 5 stars as it is my favorite single stack 9mm on the market, and the few minor issues I have aren't really that important.
