This is one of the most pleasant handguns I've ever fired. I have large hands and the 45 is meaty enough it is comfortable. The overall size however is still small enough for easy waistband CC. Also, I don't think you can go wrong with a Springfield. They really do make quality products. As always, I appreciate that Bud's usually has items in stock at a good price when no one else does.

This is my daily carry weapon. I have about 3 different conceal carry holsters I use, depending on my outfit for the day. This is a perfect shooter and I have put over 250 rounds through this without a single misfire or ftf or fte. I love the added safety in the trigger and grip as well. Super easy to break down and clean and I recommend this model to everyone I speak to about conceal carry. I'm sure some prefer a lighter firearm but I like the confidence of having enough stopping power. I can't think of any criticism for this weapon.

This is a bad boy, right here. Truly a small hand cannon. 13 rounds of .45 acp at the ready, and this firearm throws them out quickly and accurately. It's a heavy piece when fully loaded, but still, every bit the protector.
You can't beat this pistol.

A fantastic, reliable, proven handgun. The folks in Croatia designed and built a real gem with the XD series. This sub-compact MOD.2 is a really great pistol in .45 ACP. I really appreciate the ability to use the flush mag for conceal carry, but have the option of the extended mag. I have had no failures out of about 1000 rounds. Recommended if you are in the market for a quality polymer striker fired .45 pistol.

I have had my XD for about a year now and put somewhere around 2500 rounds through it with no issues other than the odd bad primer. It shoots great and feels comfortable when handling which is why it now stays in a holster attached to the bottom of my nightstand as a SHTF weapon or in case I need to fight my way to the gun safe.

Love this 45 put 200 or so rounds through it shoots great. Gun arrived in timely matter. Thanks Buds

1st of all Bud's as Always was perfect from start to delivery - had the weapon I wanted, in stock and matched another stores pricing. It was shipped immediately to my FFL. The Springfield XD MOD.2 – 3.3″ Sub-Compact Model .45ACP is an excellent carry gun - after initial cleaning I took it to the range and was shocked that it performed and grouped better then my larger 1911 !!! - The gun is well made and very accurate and will be my carry from now on. The added bonus of the special free accessory set didn't hurt things at all ! 2 extra capacity mags and 1 extra standard mag and a nice carry case for free (giving me 3 x-mags and 2 std. mags) Thanks Bud's for another great experience and thanks Springfield for such a quality product!

One of the best 45acp subcompacts I own, Super accurate and Very Reliable!! Nice finish and no feeding problems, 2000 RDS plus through this Springfield.

Love this pistol. Shoots great and a lot less recoil than you would expect from a subcompact 45. Like it so much thinking about buying another one.

Couldnt wait to get this gun in. I took it to the range and put 50 rounds in it and let me tell you this is one heck of a gun. I love it. It's not to heavy and just perfect for everyday carry. I recomend this gun for anyone that wants a compact .45. And the extras that come in the case are a big ++ for me.

Noob alert! First online gun purchase and review. After long procrastination, owned the gun for about 3 weeks before I finally had some free time to hang out at the range. I ended up waiting so long my rebate for 3 extra mags came in the mail.They are the extended magazine size and do come color matched. (rebate ends on June 30'18 btw) Anyways I have to say this is a great shooting gun especially at 7-15 yards; honestly My new favorite.45 EDC & CCW gun. Before shooting I oiled it up like everyone should do. It did have some cleaning/stabilizing stuff on it. So def make sure you do a quick cleaning. So far so good. Mags and release are super stiff and I love it. Recoil is there but somehow shoots better than my Glock 27, not just in recoil but in every aspect groupings, feel etc. Also the "GRIP ZONE" is great in hands I can manage to get my pinkie on "Zone" but its not great & will be buying a ext soon for the short mag. The extd mag is super nice and comfortable. Shoots a tad low ex I aimed at the forehead_ landed on the chin which is not bad actually. Maybe just the way I shoot and plus Im no marksman by any-means. Sights are a dream to use on a gun with no "mods".. Overall this gun has now demoted my ccw Glock 27 to truck gun status and I have a sudden itch to throw another Springfield on Buds great layaway. Lastly, I wanna end this review on how great customer service Buds has. I had to call in and needed "dummy style" help on filling out the rebate forms online. Not only was the gentlemen I spoke to was courteous he made sure I had everything I needed. He actually went to Springfields rebate form online and walked me through each line. Sent copies of invoices to my email to upload on their website. I only mention it because alot of companies these days do not give great service anymore. Once the money is exchanged you never know,., let alone walk you through some online rebate form that they make $0 dollars from and have little to no affiliation with the offer. My local Pawn shop and BudsGunShop made my VERY FIRST online gun purchase very smooth, very easy. I will never walk in to a gun store and get bent over again.

This is one of the finest semi-auto pistols I've got. The only thing on this which isn't a big deal. It is a little wider than expected. This is my CCW and wears it will the extended mag. much easier to grip in my hand. The small mag is fine if you got really small hands but its still not that bad. I just prefer the extended mag. For the price, you really hard pressed to find this caliber .45ACP. I swapped with a buddy for Taurus version of this, It was ok not bashing it and a lot cheaper and I could feel that just in the weight of the weapon.

I'm quite happy with my new Springfield. The first thing I noticed was how extremely hard it is to eject a FULL magazine. As I did some research , it is a common occurrence that deminishes over time shooting. Some claim it is a testiment to the powerful spring that guarantees positive feeding as well as springs that won't weaken over time. Other than that, awsome gun

Love this gun. Comfortable grip with the 13rd mag and great quality. 10rd mag doesnt have extended finger grip so the gun slips from my grip when fired since my pinky finger can't grip but i bought one for 10$ haven't fired it with it yet.

First gun purchased online. Awesome experience with buds. If you searched this exact model you may find a few for a slightly lower price. Do some digging into those re-sellers however before buying. I assure you the extra $20-$30 you might pay at buds will be worth every penny. Onto the gun itself. 100% satisfied after 180 rds including some Federal HST rounds to make sure they'd run w/o issue (they did). Let's address a few items. The color is a borderline chameleon. Depending on the light it's in it can be almost identical to the one in the photo. In other light it can definitely have an olive drab hint blended in. All in all I wasn't disappointed with the color. There is a pin above the mag release button. Looking at the port side it is slightly recessed into the frame and it is not visible on the other side. This is how it should be. If you try hammering it further in you will likely fail and damage your new firearm. If yours happens to slide out I would guess you have a defect there and it should probably go back to Springfield. Also I'm not sure what is meant by the guide rod unscrewing. Things don't screw in on guns so again.. if something is poking out where it shouldn't then you've got a defect. Things happen so send it in and get it fixed. You indeed need to have the grip safety depressed in order to rack the slide back. As it's a subcompact frame I have a hard time imagining the scenario where you would be gripping it anywhere else than the grip to rack the slide but to each their own. I guess finger through the front of the trigger guard then pulling the opposite direction but again.. why? No gun is perfect and the sights won't be for everyone. I think they are ok but are not on par with something like a performance center shield. Truglo makes a great set of tritium/fiber pro sites that can be purchased right here at buds for a good deal if you want to upgrade. Springfield firearms no longer ship with their holster and whatever else they used to come with. I guess consider that an extended promo and move on. You do get 3 mags free if you buy during the rebate period. They ship to you. No need to buy and submit a refund. It's heavy compared to a single stack 9mm. Guess what... you bought a double stack 45 sub compact. It's going to have some heft. Not sure you could make this any smaller and have it be shootable. This is not a clone of an H&K. Your hand sits higher in the tang which helps reduce muzzle flip and there are no grips on the front of the slide (along with a myriad of other differences I'm sure). The mags are hella stiff. Get a loader. As far as ejecting with a full mag push it back into the gun and hit the button. Problem solved. Bottom line excellent gun! if you're thinking about it do it. Even my glock buddy was impressed.

Great choice. Low recoil awesome sights. Easy to carry concealed. A few mag troubles when fully loaded getting the mag in and out of the gun but after a few days It is already getting easier. So just fresh springs that need alittle wear. Good deal.

I've only put about 150 rounds through the gun since I bought it but I'm delighted with the results. I have an XDS in 9mm and love it so I grabbed the XD Mod2 in 45 ACP because of the price. It's a lot of gun for the money. I can't get over how easy it is to shoot. I expected a sub compact 45 to be a hand full. Not so with the XD. I think the low bore axis and the new grip zone grip have a lot to do with it handling so well. This is my 4th Springfield. It is hard to beat Springfields.
