ONE CAN SEE WHY THIS WAS FLAUNTED "AS THE GUN THAT WON THE WEST"...I FEEL FORTUNATE NOW TO HAVE THIS FINE, CLASSIC RIFLE.

This is a beautiful gun and an outstanding replica of the 1873 Winchester! The gun was flawless with no dings or any cosmetic issues. The action is tight and the lockup is solid. The fit and finish of wood to metal is done very well. I am a big fan of octagonal barrels and with the case hardened finish it really sets this gun apart. I haven’t shot the gun yet as I have been having problems locating 45 long Colt ammo, but all other reviews say it’s a solid shooter.
For those who love Old West firearms, Cowboy shooting and Western history, this gun takes you back in time.

I just received this great rifle from my FFL dealer today. It is everything I knew it would be. Wood to metal fit is excellent, the stock is plain but beautiful and solid. It functions smoothly and I look forward to shooting it. Once upon a time I had a carbine model with a round barrel, and although I loved it and shot it in Cowboy Action Shooting (which is now too expensive to keep up), THIS long-barreled '73 Winchester made by Uberti has an octangle barrel and fits nicely into a tooled and carved leather scabbard that I made a couple of months ago. I look forward to "dancing with my baby" (my term for shooting) sometime soon with 230 gr. 45 Colt handloads that also fit in nearly all of my revolvers. This was not my first, nor my last purchase from Bud's!

This gun is exactly what I expected! Beautiful rifle. The action is very smooth. Just remember, do to the type of action, your rounds need to be properly crimped. For this price this is an awesome rifle! Thank you and God bless!

Besides being a work of art, shooting this gun is like waking up on Christmas morning every day, so much fun to shoot. The only way it would be more fun to shoot than a 22 would be if the ammo cost the same. GET ONE!!

Finish is very nice, action crisp, not sloppy. Case hardened finish is beautiful. A solid build. Very happy with the quality of this firearm. I have not been to the range yet so can't comment on firing.

Just got my Uberti 1873 45 lc and tried both 165 grain cowboy loads and my own 265 grain hand loads,the rifle handled both at about 30 yards great!Just starting to test this wonderful rifle,with all thats going on I just got to go outside of town for quick test.The wood to metal fit is great,and the walnut wood is super!My only problem is picking which powder,bullet combo to try next!
I have four different powders and three different bullet weights,oh what to do?I guess time will tell.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I purchased the 1873 Sporting Rifle with the 24 1/4 inch octagonal barrel and color case hardened receiver. Impeccable fit, finish and detail. The action is smooth and crisp. Haven't shot it yet but plan to do that as soon as ammo becomes more available again. Really captures the spirit and feel of the Old West. This is an heirloom that I will shoot for years and then pass on to my family. Don't miss the chance to pick up this classic. Uberti has hit another home run!!

Received the 1873 in excellent condition. This is the first Uberti that I have purchased outside Black Powder revolvers, the rifle is beautiful excellent fit on all parts, action is smooth & crisp, a bit pricey overall however I think worth it. Purchased in 45 LC can not wait to take to the range & compare to my Henry. Excellent transition from Buds to my shop with no problems.

Unbelievable is the best word I can find to describe my purchase. I am in love with lever action rifles and old west pistols. The Uberti 1873 is a superb replica of the original. Buds guns beat every price I found locally by 250.00. Best gun purchase I have ever made. Chris

I have some old 1873 ' s but I wanted one to shoot . I order the uberti 1873 sporting rifle , it came in in a reasonable time , perfect condition with beautiful wood . Very pleased with price and service.

Beautiful rifle... fit and finish are excellent. Shooting at the range was fun, very accurate and hit to point of aim. To get the side plates off for cleaning and lubrication was a stumper till I saw the screw that comes out allows a slender punch to go thru the hole to tap out the opposite side plate. The tolerances are very tight on the rim that secures the plate to the frame so tap in several locations along the edge and ease it off... I find myself taking this out of the safe just to work the lever, feel the action and appreciate the fine workmanship... it seems to me to have a soul that modern firearms just miss...

An absolutely beautiful rifle. Nicely made, with a real smooth action. I paid by electronic check to take advantage o Bud's cash discount, but I don't think I would do that again. It just takes too long for the payment to clear. Because of this, this order too about ten days to receive.

I couldn't be happier. Fit and finish is great on the Uberti 1873. As always Buds was exallant . If you want a Winchester replica of good quality this is it. This thing is a blast to shoot.

Beautifull gun that shoots as well as it looks right out of the box.

I received my rifle one week ago and being from California there is a ten day wait before I can take the gun home but I did examined it closely. The fit and finish was perfect and the smoothness of the action was excellent. I'm sure it will shoot well when I take it to the range. I have a Uberti hi-wall in 45-70 and I am so pleased with it I decided the Uberti 1873 in 45 Colt was the right choice. See you at the range.

I got the rifle with some issues: a. The butt-pad was installed skewed by a bit, barely noticeable but still there; b. The side plate screw was too tight, you need to take this out to clean the action sometime; c. The frame has lots of burrs, I cut myself, the thumb by the burs on front top of the ejection port, my index finger by the ones next to the trigger and a deep gash with the ones at the bottom of the frame after taking out the trigger group; d. The action was rough; Contacted Uberti’s Customer Service twice, the first response was not very helpful, but the second one, by Randall Wayne was more than helpful, even offered me free shipping and repair under warranty. I ended up cutting the screw and installing a new one that I ordered, plugged the screw hole on the stock and re-installed the butt pad and deburred the frame edges with 1000 grit sand paper. I had a very good time doing it and learned a lot in the process. Even after these minor issues, I enjoy the rifle a lot, it's a looker, and the action is slick after cleaning, oiling and greasing. I believe that my example is not Uberti’s standard, while I own several and this is the first I had this kind of issues, and factory support is very good if needed. BTW, I just received from Buds my Uberti 1885 rifle, and I can’t find anything to complain about it.

Wow, what a nice rifle! Once out of the box and polished up you can really appreciate the beauty of this piece. The quality of Uberti products has continuously improved over the years. I believe they are now among the finest firearms available. This one's from importer Stoeger; and is equal to the offerings from Cimarron and Taylor's. Sights were spot-on out of the box. Flawless! Well worth the price. Don't hesitate to buy it!

I ordered the Uberti 1873 in 45 Colt on the six month lay-a-way plan. The process was very easy and straightforward. Making payments via Bud's site is extremely easy using the ACH "bank draft" method. Payments posted in one week or less. Once paid the gun was sent to my local firearms dealer promptly. Fed Ex tracking and delivery information was accurately provided. Once I saw the gun come out of the Uberti box, neatly packed and wrapped in factory plastic I was awestruck by the beauty of this rifle. I could hardly keep my hands off of it when I got home. I had to wait a couple of days before I could get to the range and try her out. Today, I did just that, and she shoots as good as she looks! Accurate as heck with iron sights out of the box. The 255 grain load that I fired was nothing sloppy, the slower moving chunk of lead could be heard pounding the embankment behind the target with a distinctive and awesome thud. Trigger pull is a little on the heavy side but nothing that I couldn't manage. Extremely impressed with the quality and beauty of this rifle and would highly recommend it to any and all lever-action fans. Bud's was super easy to do business with and I will definitely be back for another purchase. Thanks Bud's,... you are great.

WHAT A NICE RIFLE, IT'S FUN JUST LOOKING AT IT. TOOK IT OUT AND SHOT IT WITH BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGES. HIT AN INCH ABOVE THE BULL'S-EYE ON THE FIRST SHOT, HIT THE BULL'S-EYE ON THE SECOND SHOT, I GUESS IT'S SIGHTED IN. IT CLEANED UP GOOD WITH BALLISTOL AND WATER. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL RIFLE IN FORM AND FUNCTION. UBERTI IS DOING A FANTASTIC JOB MAKING THESE. BUDS WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH AS USUAL, THEY HAD THE LOWEST PRICE ANYWHERE I LOOKED, AND ORDERING ON LINE WAS EASY. BUD'S PICKED OUT A GOOD ONE AND SENT IT OUT RIGHT AWAY TO MY FFL DESIGNATE, AND I HAD IT IN JUST A FEW DAYS, IT'S GREAT. EVERYBODY GETS FIVE STARS.

I have been researching reproductions SAA and rifles for weeks and weeks. I decided on Uberti reproductions due to all the positive feedback on YouTube. This rifle is 99.9% copy of the original. Its says Uberti instead of Winchester on the barrel. This rifle in .45 Colt is extremely accurate. Fiocchi .45 Colt 255 gr CMJ are producing groups of 1 inch at 100 yards with iron sights and nearly zero recoil. If I bought new production Colt SAA and Winchester 1873 to replace the ones I had that were stolen it would could cost $3000 while the Uberti's reproductions rifle and SAA were $1500. I received lots of complements at the gun range. Several of the guys were trying to decide if they should buy one. After handling my 73 for several minutes two of them decided to buy the Uberti. I'll make custom loads so that I can use this rifle for feral hog hunting.
