The gun is very nice the fit and finish are flawless. I can understand why they cost so much. Buds beat the competition by more that $200 so great on Buds. I have put about 200 rds through this gun and it just starting to get broke in. The slide is so tight my wife could not even cycle the slide. I had to cycle it for her so that is not to good for a smaller gun that will appeal to women. If you are thinking about buying this for your wife or dayghter just make sure they have a lot of grip strength or shoot about 200 rds through it before you give it to them. The gun it still very nice and well worth the high price. Very actuate and the night sights are a nice add. The only complaint is it only comes with one magazine. I would think that for this much money they could send you at least two magazines. The SS springfield 9mm mags work the best.

First of all, from an aesthetics standpoint, this gun is a thing of beauty -- pictures don't do it justice! My wife, who is not prone to sudden outbursts, actually squealed when I gave it to her and she saw it for the first time! Fit & finish are exactly what you would expect from Kimber -- flawless! The thin grips are a perfect fit for my petite wife's hands. At the range, this thing is a tac-driver -- even with just a 3" barrel. 200 rounds, without a single FTF/FTE. My Team Buds membership combined with Buds fantastic customer service made for an outstanding purchase experience -- ordered on a Friday and had it the following Tuesday!

Excellent little 1911 in 9mm with aluminum frame. The detailed engraving and high polished blue slide are awesome. Very lite, minimum recoil, and night sights are super bright. This little gun is a tack driver. I shot 100 rounds federal ammo with out any issues. Tight gun. easy to clean and disassemble and reassemble. I have Wilsons and browns. This is not one of them. But it is very respectful. Go for it. Buy it. You will be happy.

I love this gun...the sapphire coating is beautiful it is like a blue mirror. The mechanics of the gun are extremely impressive! I shoot the tightest groupings with this beauty. I struggled a little with the Sig p938, due to its small frame and power of the 9mm, but this gun has helped my shooting immensely. We were concerned that the finish would wear, scratch or show prints, but it cleans beautifully and is without a flaw. Breakdown and cleaning is simple, and is the perfect size for purse concealed carry. In our first 200 rounds of breaking it in, we only had a couple of failures to extract, probably due to my arms getting tired and limp wristing, not a gun error. We didn't want to spend this much money on a gun, and were a little nervous about it, but are certainly glad we did. Its a keeper!! This wont be our last Kimber, my husband is on the hunt for an Eclipse!
