Wanted some high performance personal defense ammo for my 1911’s and my M&P45 and this ammo filled the ticket. Shoots every time and is very accurate.

I chose this ammo for my CMMG Banshee with an 8 inch barrel due to its tougher than normal construction as these come out of the barrel at 1130 FPS according to my chronograph (7 shot string). They feed great with factory Glock magazines however I found with the 26 round SGM magazines the rubber tip affects proper feeding if loaded over 15 rounds. The tip rubs against the front of the mag causing rounds to stick in the mag. That being said you should only trust factory mags in a home defense firearm anyway.

Bought for the price & concealed carry ability for defense . Have only fired a few rounds for testing at the range & found them with nearly the same kick as regular round defense ammo . Not nearly the kick as I'd anticipated .

This ammo packs a punch for sure. Great penetration and recoil even in a GI 1911.

I depend on having quality ammo available should the need arise. So far I have never used the ammo except at the range but I still like having good ammo for that too. Hornady Critical Duty is a quality product and Buds make it easy to keep a supply on hand.

The Hornady flex lock feeds and functions flawlessly in my 1911. Wreaks havoc on water jugs and watermelons. Feel like this will be a formidable defense load.

Excellent ammo for my 1911, I bought two boxes and used one of them at the range without a hiccup. Checking the spent rounds down range, I found excellent retention. I was so satisfied that the other box was loaded into my EDC and extra magazines to be ready for whatever comes my way.

Shoots good, I was surprised that the recoil is very mild.
