I gave it ample time before writing my review. Firstly, the firearm was not “guaranteed” to include night sites but mine did and I LOVE them. This quickly became my favorite gun and still is to present day. Lovely accuracy and I love how it fits my hand. It actually stole my business away from the Glock I previously had my heart set on. I am no longer interested in Glock at all after owning this S&W. My transaction with buds was easy, pickup once it arrived locally was easy, and I took the lifetime warranty because of course that’s very worth taking. Thanks Buds!

This Gun is a great deal if your looking for .40 mm 3 mags came with the gun and also a case from S&W no issues at the range. The night sight are bad on mine but I have had it over a year now.

It's a Smith and I wish I would of bought another. I live north of Detroit and felt this was something I should own. It will probably be a gun safe space eater for my life time

After Looking for weeks for a used .40 Caliber hand gun, I decided to purchase the S&W M&P with the Detroit PD markings. I particularly wanted the "Un-issued" gun, as I had hoped the gun would be brand new. It was. I was extremely impressed with this purchase. Next step the Range......... Nice looking and good functioning gun. For about $400 i thought it was a great price. Have had just over a month and shoot about 700 rounds through it all full metal jackets with no problems at all. Easy to disassemble and clean. Came as advertised except it says Detroit Pd on top of slide not on the side but that obviously had no effect on function. If i read the manufacture sticker correctly on the side of there rather nice plastic case my fire arm was made in November 2015, no spent casing in box to confirm. Would buy again if had the chance, buds guns also was great with fast shipping gun was at FFL in six days i believe.

DPD Smith and Wesson M&P 40 arrived in new condition. Love the gun. Night sights good to go. I don't know why people have complained about the trigger I like it, takes up to a wall, and then breaks- nice! Very pleased with purchase.

Excellent purchase! Better than advertised, this M&P non shield full-sized .40 cal shoots well, with negligible recoil. The addition of a streamlight laser/ light makes it my night carry edc tool. Fast shipping and great communication made this deal a joy!

Bought this and did not get a chance to shoot it for a few weeks, have nothing to complain about. I shoot quite accurate with is at 15 yards, recoil is not as bad as I was expecting. Caught another shooter's eye at the range, I let him give it a test drive. 3 mags, night sites, shoots well, suggest picking one up.

I was on the fence about buying this weapon. I've never owned or fired a 40 caliber pistol. But my dad (retired HPD) gave me some .40 cal ammo when he passed. He was a big S&W guy (I'm a Sig Sauer fan myself). Decided to get the S&W in memory of my dad. After reading some of the reviews I've decided to buy two. One for me (one to shoot) and one for dad (one to save). I ordered the guns on June 16 and receive them on June 27. I paid with a debit card and it took five business days for them to start the shipping process as advertised. My only disappointment in these weapons are where the Detroit PD stamp is located. On the picture it shows the stamp on the side of the slide. On both of the weapons I received the Detroit PD stamp is on the top of the slide. FFL (Kick Brass Guns in Conroe, TX) was great ($15 per gun for the transfer fee). Regularly $20 per transfer fee but since I'm a veteran it was only $15. Nice to know that there are still companies that respect and give good deals to veterans. Looking forward to taking one to the range!

Pistol came in a nice sturdy blue box with 3 magazines, a lock, a manual and the gun included night sights. It was marked Detroit PD on top of the slide instead of the side. Other than that I'm extremely happy. Ordered on wed afternoon and picked it up at my local ffl Monday afternoon. It was a great purchase for 399 and I'm extremely pleased with the gun being flawless and with buds awesome shipping time

My son, Robert R., bought me an unissued DPD .40. It was made November 2015 and has all of the newest updates. The gun is brand new, with the exception of being factory fired. The night sights are super strong. It came with 3 mags, palm swells, paperwork, lock, and in a plastic S&W box. If you're thinking about getting one, don't wait too long. And, now is the time to buy them. My DPD issue number was in the mid 4K's, so that means any that are sold now will be the newest models. These guns are very, very accurate. They will eat ANY ammo you feed it. And, you can buy a 9mm & .357 SIG barrel to drop in it and have 2 more caliber guns in just this one .40 caliber M&P. BUD'S GUNS was fast with the shipping and CS is excellent. Buy them NOW before they're gone!

Haven't had a chance to shoot the M&P yet but it is as described, an unissued pistol. I will probably purchase another one if any remain in stock. One to shoot and carry and one to set back as a collector item from the Motor City.

Love this gun. Clearly new, night sights still great. I purchased the .357sig factory barrel replacement and it dropped right in and ran like a dream. Put about 100 rounds of .40sw and 100 rounds of .357 Sig down range so far. Flawless operation, spot on accurate could not be happier. My everyday ccw Millennium G2 9mm fells like an extension of my hand while this big M&P 40 feel like I'm using a tool, but damned if I don't love every minute of it.

I can sum it all up by saying this pistol was as advertised , brand new , never issued , just like it came from the factory . I like this pistol so much I wish that I could have ordered two of them . With the interchangeable grip panels , the only thing that fits my hand better is a CZ 75 . It is accurate , sights were spot on , night sights still have plenty of life in them , I can't find one thing to say bad about it . This is my first S&W M&P but I don't think it will be the last . I can't wait to try the 45 auto model . This is the second pistol I have purchased from Buds and the whole process has been totally painless . I can wholeheartedly recommend them .

I'm always happy purchasing from Buds. I got this firearm and with it stating it was never issued I thought ok light wear. I got a what I would say is a brand new gun. It looked like it was never fired. I always recommend Buds and if you're in the Milwaukee, WI area look up Cream City Firearms for either the transfer or purchase.

All I can say is WOW. This guy literally looks brand spanking new, as if it was fired less than 10 times...so much my FFL marked it as new on the paperwork! Shipped quick from Bud's and arrived in perfect condition with the blue hard case, 3 mags, night sights that are still 80% if not better, 3 back straps, and the documentation - including the lifetime warranty paperwork too. Cannot wait to fire it this weekend at the range. Outstanding value for the money. It is marked Detroit PD on the top of the slide for me and other markings on the sides.
