I was in the market for my first .22 rifle. After much research online, I decided on the Marlin 60. This rifle has the hardwood stock and stainless steel metal. I like the tube feed magazine because of its capacity and no magazine hanging down below the receiver. Its a personal choice....others may like the detachable magazine.
Took it to the range and fired about 250 rounds on its initial outing. The rifle worked like a charm. NO problems at all. Workmanship is very good. Metal and wood appearance is amazing for a rifle in this price range. Accuracy is acceptable, but the trigger could break a little cleaner. I have a Marlin XT-22 and the trigger is much better....lighter and crisper. All in all this Marlin is a nice rifle. I prefer the XT-22 to the 60, but that's just me.
Bud's is great to deal with. No problems with the transaction. I always check them first for price and selection.
