Got my model 60 in 1977, she's held true (10,000 of rounds) to this day. My son loved shooting it and we decided it was time for him to own his own. He loved mine but needed his own style...........so he go this beautiful SS Marlin Model 60. She shoots great and looks awesome sitting next to my old blue antique. Never any doubt when it comes to recommending a .22 rifle to anyone, this'll be the shooter. Shoot safe and enjoy!

Very accurate gun. It's one of the best .22lr you can buy and pass down the family tree. With the stainless, you don't ever have to worry about surface rust. I swapped my stock to a Boyd's laminated featherlight thumbhole grip and man what a difference!

Nice little 22. Just the way I remember it when I was a kid except for the QR code on the receiver by the serial number. I’m sure it’s a Remington thing but it makes an otherwise ice gun look cheesy. Wouldn’t be too bad if it was in a less conspicuous place. Hoping they don’t start doing it to all the new guns. That said the gun arrived in perfect condition. A pleasure to take apart and clean.

Overall, a little disappointed ... The Good: Shot flawlessly and accurately out of the box. The finish on the stock and barrel is very nice, though the stock has very little visible grain, to the point where the front of the stock almost appears to be of a synthetic material rather than wood. The Not so Good: The finish of the receiver, trigger guard, and trigger don't match the stainless barrel, at all. In my view, they detract from the overall looks, giving the appearance of a lower quality firearm. The receiver you're stuck with but, you could order an after-market trigger guard and trigger. However, besides raising the overall cost of ownership, the after-market trigger guards I've seen are aluminum, and while they are an improvement over the polymer stock trigger guard, it still wouldn't be a great match. Others have lamented about the sights being plastic but, you can quickly/easily upgrade using after-market sights (e.g. Williams) for fairly cheap money. Also, keep in mind that, if you have the stainless version of the Marlin 60, you'll be limited on after-market upgrades unless you'd be OK with a mixed stainless/blued look. If I had to do it over again, I'd go with the blued 60, and use the saved $30 to upgrade to Williams sights.

Very substantial, not tinny, well-made and attractive .22 rifle. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel and quality of this rifle, but it shouldn't be unexpected, given that it's manufactured by the fine folks of Huntsville, Alabama. The stainless is quite dressy. I might hang this one on the wall. There's a slight defect in the finish of the receiver, but, then, I'm kind of picky about these things. Quite a nice wood stock -- maybe beech? -- not a chunk of pine or the like. Bud's Gun Shop delivers as reliably as an old-time milkman.

Very happy with the Marlin 60. Shot over 200 rounds right out of the box and no problems at all.

I love my Marlin Model 60 SB. My dad owned this same gun when I was younger but he ended up selling it. I had a blast plinking with it, so when I came across this gun on Bud’s I had to get it. This gun will fire every ammo available without any malfunctions. So far I’ve put about 200 rounds through this gun with no issues at all. This gun is extremely accurate with just iron sights, but I do plan to upgrade to a scope soon. It took four days from shipping to picking up at my FFL dealer. I would highly recommend this beauty.

This little Marlin brings back fond childhood memories of similar .22 rifles. However, Marlin has started using plastic parts & pieces for the front sight, rear sight, and trigger guard. I'm surprised and disappointed that Marlin felt they needed to use plastic. However, it did cycle well with only several stoppages/malfunctions out of 250 rounds. The stock and metal finish are nice.

I expected more accuracy out of this .22LR rifle. However, it was very reliable.

Buds was on point as usual with their customer service. I'm very disappointed though in the finish of the Marlin. They are not up to my standards for a $200 rifle. There are blemishes in the stainless finish, the trigger guard is composite, and the sights are okay at best. Think Marlin should take a look at an American legend and revise the current components and manufacturing.

Beautiful 22 long rifle at a great price almost to beautiful to shoot Buds is top notch in every aspect

"I received my new Marlin and upon inspection in front of my FFL dealer, I discovered that the rear sight was installed several degrees off. Now I'm stuck with a weapon that needs immediate warranty repair before I fire a single round. To add insult to injury, Marlin was kind enough to inform me that it will be approximately 6-8 weeks before the gun is repaired and returned.

Marlin isn't what it used to be. Red plastic front sight, plastic rear sight, plastic trigger guard and the front sight guard is loose and rattles. Buds was fast on shipping but this rifle is junk. Shoots straight though and cycles good. Camping plinker for sure, don't make my mistake buy a Ruger 10/22.

marlin quality control is not what it used to be .the rear sight was drifted all the way to left as far as possible without falling out of its dovetail..the manual stated that the rifles are test fired and sighted in at the factory.one would think that barrel would be true enough to the receiver to eliminate the need for such a severe sight adjustment. fortunately im outfitting this rifle with a scope so hopefully it won't be such an issue. this is marlins problem. Buds was excellent as usual !!!

The stainless barrel and birch stock make this a beautiful rifle. It is my first Marlin product. I especially like the tubular loader to feed the rifle. The rifle is fun to shoot, but being a semi-automatic means you can burn through 22LR's fast. Bud's was prompt with their delivery in 2 days to my FFL here in Florida. Bud's is good to deal with and their prices are better than competitive. This rifle is one of many purchases from Bud's for me.
