I bought a Remington 750 .308 SYN in 2018 from Bud's Guns having owned a Remington 700 in .308 I can say that the Remington 750 is as accurate or even more accurate at 300 yards as the 700. I have a simple Bushnell "Dusk to Dawn" 3-9X scope on the 750 and nearly drilled a hole in a 1/2", 2 foot diameter hanging steel plate at 300 yards with the Woodmaster sporting a Circle K 10 round magazine. All 10 rounds hit bullseye and much faster than any bolt action can do. This 750 replaced my AR-10 due to the stupid California DOJ restrictions and of course the 750 looks like a simple Deer rifle with action cycle rate faster than my old AR-10 in .308.

I like this rifle a lot, but I would probably opt for a bolt action if I were to do it over again. It does not always cycle cleanly after being fired. And when you are hunting or sighting it in, I would rather know I have an empty chamber after firing, if I am climbing out of a stand or walking down range. I mean, semi auto in 308 has its advantages too, but I think I would opt for a bolt action, especially since it stovepipes a shell when ejecting sometimes.

I can't believe how bad the action really is - I thought other people were exaggerating - but they're not! It really does jam constantly - (5 times in 20). Almost comical. I couldn't believe it. I don't really care as I have many many rifles. And, what's funny is I happen to LIKE Remington. I have 4 other (manual actions) and they're great. In fact, I received another Remington rifle in the very same order from Buds (a 7600 30-06 pump in gloss finish wood) which is just great (trigger a bit heavy but whatever). You always figure "it won't be me - the other guys are doing something wrong" - but if you buy this rifle, it will be . . .

Can't say I wasn't forewarned. It has been a real jam fest with this firearm. I have tried different ammunition and an aftermarket magazine, but to no avail. This gun consistently fails to feed. I am not talking about an occasional round jamming; I am talking about jam after jam after jam. This isn't something that a break-in period will rectify. If a firearm will not perform even its most basic function, then I am going to give it a rating commensurate with its performance.

As I expected from reading other reviews the first 20 had 5 jams, the second 20 had 1bad feed and the third 20 had 1 bad feed, used rem 180 gr &I have 3" groups @ 200 yards and that's good enough for me. I am going to cheap ammo for 100 rounds to break it in and I will update this review The dust cover is cheap and the gun needs some breaking in so that is why I give it 4 stars for now.
