My rifle is in 5.56 NATO. Very accurate with good controls.

Awesome weapon, chews through any and all types of ammo. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Very well made and reliable. Felt good in the hands. Didn't care for the reciprocating charging handle but if you keep your hands in a good location it's no biggie. All in all I would highly recommend if you want something to get away from the ar15 and has the cool factor of the scar at around half the price.

Great rifle! Finally got to the range today and ran 200 rounds through with zero problems.

Excellent choice for the one looking for a 5.56 semiauto rifle thats not an ar. Accurate, less recoil than an ar, piston system wich means a cleaner gun, easy to take apart. Cz did an excellent job on this one.

If your looking for something a little different look no further. The workmanship is great on this rifle. Shoots like a dream and from the video's I've seen it will take a beating. It is a little heavier than most AR's because its built. Turns heads at the range too. Buds had the best price and great service. I'll be back!

This thing is built like a Swiss watch! I was a bit leery of spending this much when I was basically pretty content with my AR but after seeing enough videos and reading enough reviews I decided to jump. And I couldn't be more pleased! The CZ 805 Bren is indeed a lot like a SCAR but it's a bit more robust, smoother...and a bit heavier. A lot of the parts of the FN that are poly are aluminum in the Bren. It feels a bit more like a gun and less like a toy!

First, I like to thank Buds for making my online purchase a smooth and secure transaction this was my first online purchase of a firearm. I was searching for a CZ Bren and Buds had by far the best price for one ! Picked up CZ yesterday from local FFL dealer haven't had chance to go to range yet. Took CZ apart checked everything out and so far very impressed on the quality of this rifle. The only con to me is the barrel is rather slender might not be an issue find out at the range.

First time buying firearm from Bud's and hopefully it won't be the last. Will gladly buy from them again. Ordering system was very simple and my FFL received my Bren earlier than they first said. Arrived in great shape now all I have to go out and shot it.

I’m very happy with my purchase. This is a smooth operating rifle; it lives up to the positive reviews I’ve seen (but maybe not the hype). If you want a non-AR “black rifle”, this is definitely in the running. I put 100 rounds through it on the first shoot after giving it a little lube on the bcg and pulling a bore-snake through the barrel (I can’t help it, I just can’t take a firearm out of the box straight to the range). It performed as expected and seems rather handy. This was only at 25 yds, so I can’t speak to long-range accuracy. If you already drive an AR, get ready for different (not bad) ergonomics.

Excellent!!! I caught the CZ bug a couple month back when I ordered my Scorpion. The BREN was a must after that. I am a mid-30's hobby shooter, so I do not have military reference to compare this rifle to, but I own many firearms, and this may be my new favorite. Fit and finish is of excellent quality, performance is equally as impressive. As for Bud's, this was my first purchase, and will most definitely not be my last. I ordered this rifle on the evening of 2/14, it was at my FFL in Nashville on 2/20. Thanks Buds for facilitating an excellent purchase.

Absolute beauty of a rifle, CZ knows how to build firearms! Fit and finish is some of the best I’ve seen which makes this rifle well worth the money. Accuracy is better than most military type rifles and Recoil is silky smooth. All in all very happy with this purchase! Buds has treated me right on numerous purchases and used their awesome layaway option to lock in the deal....

I've only got to shoot this inside an indoor range but I love this thing. I'm not a pro shooter at all but found this to be very accurate right out of the box and follow-up shots are easy compared to my AR-15. Seems very similar to a SCAR which is how I discovered this less expensive option. Crisp trigger and seems like a rifle that should cost 2k+ like a SCAR. I took it right out of the box and felt like I was a great shot. Granted the indoor range is only 25 yards but I was able to put 25 of my 30 rounds in a 5" red circle rapidly firing. The 5 rounds weren't far off either. Now for an experienced shooter this doesn't mean much but I've only taken my AR-15 to the range twice and didn't do all that great. I'm a novice shooter and for me to hit the bullseye 25 times rapidly firing at 25 years after only shooting one 30 round clip slowly before that to get used to the rifle... it's a quality build rifle and I highly recommend this especially if you are wanting a SCAR. Save your money and get this bad boy instead!

This is the first time I've bought a firearm from buds and I can say it was a very pleasant experience. The CZ Bren is a very nice rifle and Buds had the best price I have ever seen for this rifle, pretty much $500 cheaper then everywhere else I had checked. Thanks again, I will definitely buy from again

Great rifle for a great price. In the box is a nice cleaning kit, a packet which contains the manual and warranty information, two metal 30 round magazines, and the rifle itself. This rifle is rock solid. It has that quality a lot of newer black rifles lack where, if you were to run out of ammo during a gunfight, you could confidently bludgeon your enemies to death with the rifle. The folding stock holds tight whether it's folded or extended and the telescoping portion is held in a vice-like grip. The folding BUIS on top do come with the rifle, are made of aluminum and feel basically indestructible. The controls are well placed and easy to operate, and are also ambidextrous. The safety moves positions with a definite snap and the mag release sends my Pmags flying from the rifle. The only issue here is the controls are placed fairly far apart, so a shooter with smaller hands may have trouble operating them. Even with my fairly minuscule hands (I am cursed to wear Women's medium gloves) I can disengage the safety with my thumb, but I have to use the side of the knuckle of my trigger finger to reengage the safety. Likewise, reaching the mag release is a stretch, but doable. Disassembly is simple. Two pins, drop the lower, slide the stock off and slide off the plate at the rear and the recoil spring. Then pull the charging handle and slide the bolt and carrier out of the rear. Finally, move up front and rotate the gas regulator 180 degrees to remove it. The piston and spring can then slide out of the gas block. The rifle shoots like a dream. The weight and excellent muzzle brake make recoil virtually non-existent. Combined with the amazing trigger, follow-up shots are child's play. Speaking of that, the trigger. I can't say enough about the trigger on this rifle. It has a predictable amount of take-up followed by a crisp break and it resets with a very satisfying, tactile "click". There is a little grit in the take-up but I'm sure that will work out. Trigger pull, as measured with my Wheeler trigger scale, averages 4.375-lbs. I feel the need to restate that. This rifle comes from the factory with a crisp sub-4.5-lb trigger. It's better than most AR triggers I've felt, even high-end ones. I can't speak much to the accuracy of the rifle. I was only able to make it to the 25 yard indoor range and I did a shoddy job mounting the scope. I made one hole at 25 yards with 5 rounds of American Eagle 55-gr while bracing my elbow against the bench, but that was the extent of my accuracy testing. The rifle is equipped with a chrome-lined, hammer-forged, 1:7 twist barrel, so I suspect with good 62-gr or 77-gr ammo it will be a 1.5-MOA rifle, and I can't wait to take it to 100 yards and find out. There are two main downsides to this rifle. First is the lack of a bolt release. Dropping the bolt requires you to yank the charging handle back all the way and let it go. It doesn't take long, but it a different manual of arms from basically every other similar rifle out there. The second downside is the weight. This rifle weighs 3750-grams with no magazine. That's about 8.27-lbs in American. That's with no magazine, no sling, no optic. At minimum you will be adding 17.2-oz with a loaded 30 round Pmag. Outfitted as I have it, with a Vortex Strike Eagle scope, Aero Ultralight mount, Magpul AFG2, Viking Tactical sling, and 30 round Pmag loaded with American Eagle 55-gr, she weighs in at 11.24-lbs. If you wanted to shave ounces you could drop the AFG, get a sling with less metal buckles and padding, and change out the optic for a micro red dot or drop it entirely. Using a good sling to brace the rifle is also helpful when dealing with this kind of weight. Overall I love this rifle. I'm not carrying it over hills and over dales, so the weight isn't that big of a deal. It's accurate and seems to be reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, especially as a piston-driven gun priced similarly to many piston-driven ARs, which I believe this gun has beat hands-down.

Got the rifle 3 days after ordering. Smoothest action I've ever felt in a auto loading rifle. Feels like it's on ball bearings. Incredible quality and finishing. 1 moa accuracy with 62 grain and up quality ammo. Easily a 2k dollar gun.

Service was exceptionally fast from BUDS, as the rifle arrived in just a few days to my FFL. Everything about this rifle screams quality. Although I have not taken the rifle to the range yet, I am sure it will be on par or better than other similar rifles. I have been very impressed with CZ quality in the past, and not disappointed with the BREN. There are no better prices on this rifle available on the internet that can beat BUDS price. Keep it up BUDS, you have a loyal customer here!

Buds sells these for the best price anywhere. Having had the rifle out for 2 range trips so far, I have to say this is one of the, if the the highest quality semi auto black rifles I have owned, and I own and have owned many. Rivals my LWRC SPR-IC in accuracy and quality, and that rifle cost TWICE what this one cost. Buy one, you won't regret it! Thanks BUDS!

I have a FN SCAR 17S & had a 16S that I regrettably sold 2 years ago. I was looking to replace the 16S, but couldn't find one anywhere. I read a magazine article on the CZ 805 rifle, and was interested at first sight. I did my research on the 805, and found that every YouTube video, and magazine article that I looked at had nothing but good to say about this rifle. I took the plunge & ordered it from Bud's gun shop. This was my first experience with them, and I have to say it was a good one. The rifle arrived at my local FFL dealer on Valentine's Day, and when I opened the box. I was very pleased at first sight. I have never held the CZ 805 before, but I have to say that after handling it, and shooting it at the range. My wanting to replace the FN SCAR 16S was over. Although I still like the 16S very much. I'm glad I went with the 805 instead. It was about $1000 cheaper, and in my own opinion, better built & shoots just as well as the 16S. So if you're looking at this rifle, I would highly recommend it. It's just as good SCAR 16S that it replaced.
