Pretty neat shotgun until it malfunctioned. The bolt release malfunctioned on me after i put in a new mag and got all jammed up..not sure what happened and havent been to the range with it since. Not sure if it was a hiccup or if something is damaged internally...ill have to test it out again soon. 3 stars for now.

Nice shotgun. Broke it in as recommended and never had any failures which are indicative of mag fed shotguns. Kicked more than my Remington 870. Ar-15 controls which is nice. My issue was that when you loaded a new mag and hit the bolt release, it didn’t pick up a new shell from the mag. Apparently you have to pull back the side charger past the catch. I didn’t like that it had ar-15 style controls that didn’t fully operate the same as an ar-15. So I sold it.

The tri star krx shotgun was my first shotgun purchased.ive shot it once so far over at my in laws woods, ive been limited because of this virus, but i plan on practicing some more.ive been saving up ammo.im happy with this purchase.i bought it mostly for home defense but i like that i can hunt with it if I wanted to.my father in law is an active hunter and he liked my gun.i would recommend it to anyone.i think my only negative comment is that theres not much accessories right now.id like to get a front vertical handle.

I haven't had the opportunity to shoot this firearm as yet, but the firearm appears to be high quality and well made.

Fun semi auto shotgun. Recoil with larger shells is pretty high due to the weight of the gun. Used it grouse hunting for fun a few times and was very please with performance. If you're looking for a magazine fed 12 gauge you can't go wrong with the price point of this one. Handles and feels like an AR-15 with much more recoil. Only small improvements that could be made - the carrying handle and "iron sights" (they are plastic) are pretty cheap and feel it. That being said they function fine for shooting and small game hunting but you couldn't go wrong buying something else for an optic or sights. The box mags you cannot throw into the gun like you would an AR-15. They will go past the mag release and cause a jam should you push it in too hard. Simple fix really just be a little more gentile with it.

What a bad a$$ shotgun! I had my doubts that a mag fed autoloader at this price would stand up to a full day at the range without getting all gummed up and start jamming. I am glad to say this beauty took everything I shoved into it from low recoil cheapo shells, to some good quality name brands, It fed both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells with no problems. The thing that impressed me the most is the light recoil for such a light shotgun. I shot three boxes of shells through it, and didn't even notice the usual shoulder twinge on the drive home. This shotgun is rapidly becoming a favorite to keep a few 10 round magazines handy in case of a "Zombie Apocalypse" :-D I reccomend breaking the firearm down and giving it a good coat of your favorite lube before breaking it in. I used a proper coat of Frog Lube on everything, and the action flew all day without a snag. The recoil system in the KRX is the reason for the smooth shot and recovery. It is beefier than it has to be, and I think it sucks up some of the pounding some of the 3 inch shells dished out.
There are a few sticking points however, which is why I didn't give it all the stars it deserves. First off, dump the M-16 looking handle and sight. Although it does get some looks at the range of folks wondering what kind of AR is making that big boom, the sight in the handle is pretty much useless for any tactical use. I opted to install a mid-priced red dot sight on the rail, and it was perfect to keep hitting center mass and keeping the whole two eyed picture open. Also, although the KRX has the familiar bolt catch/release to give you an AR warm fuzzy, the shotgun did not like chambering from using the bolt release paddle. It just doesn't have enough spring power to strip the shell unless I pulled the charging handle all the way back and released. It fed like a champ every time using that method, but I am used to coming up on target, and releasing the bolt from the paddle.
Overall, I give the KRX a big thumbs up. There is just something ominous about unleashing ten rounds of 00 Buck on a target in a few seconds. I don't know that I will ever have the need to use the shotgun that way, but trust me, you could cut down a tree with it if the situation warranted.

I bought this shot gun and it is a good feel and light. I have not had a chance to fire it yet but do plan to in the near future. My experience with Buds was pleasant and there was no doubt the sales men new their stuff. This was my second purchase from Buds and in both purchases I was treated well and was happy both times. Thank you Buds!

I was happy to see my MKA 1919 magazines worked in this shotgun .It cycled all high brass, oo buck and slugs and after 15 to 20 break-in shots it cycled cheap Walmart bird shop stock sites or a little cheap for my taste but I like putting dots on my gun and accessory rail on top makes it very easy . I feel I’ve got my moneys worth from 1 to 10, I I gave it an 8 1/2 .

I have owned this shotgun for a while now and I still love it. Zero feed failures or ejection issues (with high brass). Will not cycle low brass. I use 3" 00 buck and they work perfectly. Standard sights arent great but there is little recoil so a red dot and up works fine.

Great Tac Shotgun....Low weight (7.9 lbs with full mag 5+1, tac light and laser mounted) Cycled first 50 rounds of #4 Buck Shot no malfunctions and I shot 11 of them rapid fire. Very manageable recoil from shoulder or side. Impressive patterns from 30 to 50 yards on the #4 shot and 3 inch group on slugs from 75 yards. I only shot 5 slugs so far the group can get better I am sure. I would not use slugs for home defense anyway too much penetration. All in all well made gun and very easy to use if you are AR familiar. Buy one!

very happy with the gun. it points well and feeding has been flawless. the supplied rear sight is junk and would have to be replaced. the rail seems to be slightly narrower than the American picatinny rails. with the reflex sight I put on it I plan on hunting birds, after the mag is blocked to hold only two rounds. a real fun gun to shoot.

I skeptical about the claims online about how this gun cycles light powered loads but I can honestly tell you they are true. First time shooting it I shot 5 rds of 00 buck, 5 slugs and then 40 low brass bird shot and only had two hang ups. The gun is super light but the recoil is surprisingly easy on the shoulder. I can't say enough about this gun, I love it.
