I like this rifle. It shoots well. It is accurate and reliable. Mine also loads, chambers and fires 45 Colt. It comes in handy when my hand loads are painful to shoot in my Freedom Arms revolver.

Nice gun. Wound up honing action and fitting walnut stocks and carbine butt plate. I sold it, foolishly. Should have had my butt kicked.

Originally I gave one star because , I thought my warranty service issue was not being taken of. I was mistaken. I was sent postage for my gun but, it went to spam mail. I did not find this out till I contacted Rossi. By the way, chat is the fastest way to get through to them. So, once I got the postage and sent my gun it took one week from the time they got it for me to get it back in my hands. I feel that their customer service has been great.

Nice little rifle . The action is smooth as glass , better than my Henry. The sights could be better but I can live with them . All in all it will make a great truck gun and hog gun

Be sure you check the gun over well before you fill out the FFL paperwork. I did not and afterwards realized that there was extreme binding in the magazine tube. So much so I could not remove the magazine tube. I contacted Braztech. They were trying to find ways out of fixing my gun. Then, finally they said they would send postage for me to send my gun in. Two and half weeks later still no postage. I think they are not consistent with qaulity . My friend has one and his works just fine. So, overall I am disappointed with rifle.

I'm really happy that I got this gun - it's super light, easy to operate, and the .454 Casull packs a wallop. I used it to take down a deer at about 60 yards. This 16-inch version is so small that it looks like a toy gun, and that impression is reinforced by how light it is. A lot of .454 Casull pistols also shoot .45 Long Colt, but this gun is not specifically chambered for such interchangeability (i.e., both calibers are not written on the side of the barrel). I have fired some .45 Long Colt through this gun, and they fired okay, but since they're shorter, they do not feed consistently from the tube magazine -- you have to manually feed them in. Here's the #1 thing you need to know about this gun: IT KICKS SO HARD!!! Firing Honady 240 grain, 1900 fps rounds from this thing kicks WAAAY harder than any slugs or buckshot I've ever put through my 12-gage shotgun (which previously held the recoil crown in my safe). Obviously it has a lot to do with how light this gun is. Just so you know, empty the magazine on this gun one time, and you're going to know you've been shooting. Really, it's a little brutal. Why only 4 stars instead of 5 stars? The sights. I'm still looking for something to replace them with, and once I do that, I'll be 100% happy with this rifle.
