Wow. Very impressed. Buds service was exceptional as always. I read reviews before I purchased this Charter Arms product, and although I haven’t fired it yet, the quality of this firearm appears excellent. No sharp edges. Ordered the Boomer as well.

A while back I bought the Charter Arms .44 special in nitride finish and liked it so much I bought this one as well. Neither are S&W quality fit and some edges are a bit sharp, but the finish on both were great and function is superb. The DA and SA trigger pulls are top notch. They make a great carry revolver for personal protection or as a woods gun. The .44 special is a fantastic choice for carry. I would love to see the boomer version of this revolver offered with these laser grips. Charter Arms is a very respectable company that offers good quality at a very fair price with excellent customer service. I highly recommend both Charter Arms and Buds.

On firearms I have bought from Buds before, they usually ship right out the door. This order took 5 business days to ship. The Charter Arms Bulldog came in a plastic bag inside the case. The firearm had dried botches of oil on it.The manufacture date was three years ago. I had to clean the firearm as soon as I got it. The oil spots all seemed to come off with solvent. The Bulldog seemed to have good fit and finish for a firearm in this price range. The gap between the forcing cone and cylinder was good. The single action and double action triggers seem to be reasonable. The cylinder lockup was good. This firearm is extremely light for a large bore revolver. I also have one of the original Bulldogs from back in 1978 and love the large bore in a small package.

Fast shipping like the original Buds!! Great job!! The gun is well built and pleasure to shoot. 44 special round is unique and great defense round without the pop of a large caliber. Highly recommend the Crimson Trace for target acquisition.

I ordered my crimson bulldog on 4/14 Just got it today 5/2. Most of the delays we're mine. My Bulldog is wonderful, the laser works just as it should. The fit and finish on My Bulldog are as tight as can be. I took it to the indoor range this afternoon, right out of the gate (so to speak) I had five (5) shots in the center bull, you could almost cover it with a silver dollar... almost. Without the laser I was lucky to get three even close to the bull (not the sights,My 58 yo eyes) I but put 150 rounds of different ammo through it without a mishap. For those who worry about the recoil don't be, if you have ever fired a .45 ACP then this will be a cake walk. The double action trigger pull is stout, however the single action is light enough for almost anyone. All the hype about this gun aside, if your looking for a bedside or a close carry gun this one could be for you. I know it has a place on My hip for the near future. I don't know whats up with Buffalo Bore ammo, I can find no reason(other than the box says not to)to use all of there .44 Spl ammo. Maybe someone can explain why they exclude one of the strongest .44 Spl around, then again maybe not! Enough soapbox. wonderful gun to shoot, great Price.
