The Red hawk shoots well.Great front sight.The rubber grips do their job.Iam gona keep it.When I need another firearm Ill check Buds first.

Excellent gun. Big and heavy. Shot it with 45 colt ammo. Handled it like a dream. Shipped gun was a little dirty but that isn't Bud's fault.

This gun is a beast. The only six shot 454 Casull out there. Accurate and dependable hunting revolver. Shoots both 454 Casull and 45 Colt ammo without issue. Highly recommend for big, dangerous game.

Incredible handgun, which is everything I expected and more. Bud's is not a "ship the same day" type of company that many of us have come to appreciate in this modern age, but very professional, none the less.

This is by far my favorite firearm in my collection, with my favorite cartridge!! I’ve owned several Taurus and ruger revolvers and let me tell you, when I was looking at 454s I considered the Taurus raging bull but based on any other Taurus I’ve had (44 tracker and a 605 .357) the rugers are MUCH better. I loved my gp100 and I am obsessed with the super redhawk. I was worried that the 454 would have too violent of recoil based on countless forums I’ve read and people I’ve talked to...don’t believe the hype!!! Shooting 260 grain bullets is a breeze, shooting 300 grain wakes you up and anything larger than that, yeah, I wouldn’t want to do it for fun, but honestly it’s very controllable. The first shot you’ll be pointing at the sky but once you’re used to it, expect maybe 5 or 6 inches of muzzle rise. It honestly is more comfortable to shoot than my Taurus tracker in .44 mag with a ported barrel and MUCH less painful than a Taurus 605 2” .357 magnum. Buds price on this firearm was $200 cheaper than anywhere I’ve found locally, plus they have a price match option so I was able to get mine for $870 vs $1100 in town. Although the day before I ordered they were willing to go to $840 which is kinda irritating. Either way, phenomenal handgun, second only to a freedom arms model 83. After purchasing this I laugh at myself for even considering buying a raging bull. I LOVE THIS GUN!!

I love this gun, my new favorite toy. Buds shipped fast as always. Buds rocks. But this gun is really something special. I love the range of ammo, from low power 45 Colt cowboy loads through 454 Casull loads that are in rifle territory power-wise. I've heard complaints about the orange insert ramp front sight, but I like it. I shoot the gun most of the time with the open sights but occasionally with a Weaver 2x scope that is quick to acquire target and hold zero nicely. I love this gun.

Ruger is a premier American gun maker, make no mistake. This revolver is an example of their engineering and craftmanship with handguns. Besides being beautiful, their "stupid tough". I was delighted with the fit, feel and workmanship that Ruger put into it. The trigger came set at about 4 lbs which is good enough for my purposes. It'll soon go to the range for sighting it. Dollar for dollar it's better out-of-the-box than some other domestic offerings. I'm proud to own it.

I bought the Super Redhawk 454 Casull and it is a very well made revolver. It is accurite and has a very smooth action. I got it with a 7 1/2' barrel to help control recoil. It works for me. The grip is excellent, and seems to take most of the bite out of recoil. I am very pleased with the purchase!

Fit and finish are outstanding, Function was flawless. Five out of five stars!

If you are looking for the ultimate hunting handgun, this is it. You get 6 rounds 454 Casull in a package the size of a N frame S&W. I considered getting the S&W 460, but after handling one, it seemed too bulky to me. The Ruger is built like a tank, it shoots great with 454 and 45 Colt loads, and the Hogue Tamer grip is great for soaking up some of that recoil. Overall a great gun. Highly recommended unless you are recoil sensitive.

Bought this in 454 Casull. A well made revolver. Accurate and even though it is a powerful round, the grips make it comfortable to shoot.

What can you say. If your buying this pistol you know what its all about. It sure has a lot of boom for the buck. The fit and finish were perfect and Ruger's customer service is second to none. I sent the pistol in to check the clearance between the cylinder and the forcing cone and Ruger sent me a ups next day shipping box in a couple days no questions asked. They had the pistol back to me in less than 2 weeks. I like to say thanks to Bud's for offering firearms at very reasonable prices (especially compared to what I get 'em for here in CA).

Awesome gun! Very well built and half the price of comparable Smith and Wesson models which shoot the same cartridges. I love Smith and Wesson and have several, but now after purchasing, then shooting this Ruger I have to say I don't see a reason to spend almost double on other guns. This is a great revolver! The .454 is a stout cartridge and I had the chance to run a box of Hornady 240 gr XTP's through at along with some CCI/Blazer .45 Colts at the range. I installed a WEIG-A-TINNY Rail on it to mount a red dot. I did get it out hunting but never got a shot off. GREAT FIREARM. If you are at all considering one, go for it!! You won't be disappointed. Buds Shipped Fast!

The Ruger Super Redhawk is in a class by itself. It is everything, and more, that I expected. Like that I can shoot my 45 Colt handloads and the 454 Casull in it. It's a Ruger revolver, need I say more. VERY hard to come by, could not even special order locally, but Bud's came through!
