100 percent reliable...in amazing. Shape for a used gun but I like the 9mm M&P better: the ammo is cheaper.

Very happy with overall transaction. Used gun was in very good condition (9 of 10) but did need a cleaning when received. Only one magazine was received with handgun but all three hand grips and a lock were provided. I downloaded the S&W handbook for the M+P 40 as one was not provided in the shipment. I am considering purchase of a second used police trade-in especially if the condition of the handgun is as good. Thanks Buds for this wonderful transaction.

Picked up my used Smith & Wesson M&P .40 with NIght Sights today from my FFL. My FFL ( True Aim Tactical, LLC ) was amazed at the quality and condition of the gun. Received in almost new condition. I went to the range and fired about 100rds and had no issues with this gun, the one I received was in excellent shape and sights were dead on. I wouldn't hesitate buying this again. Trigger is smooth and light . Buds service was great as usual. This was my 5th gun I've purchased from Buds and I have 3 more on the way.

As the other reviews have stated, there was minimal wear on this weapon. Looked almost new. Couldn't wait to get home to shoot it. Worked as good as it looked. Unfortunately, the "Atlanta Police" engraving on the side was the only blemish to this fine weapon.

Received pistol yesterday and I am extremely impressed. The pistol looks new with zero holster wear. Love the way it shoots and fits my hand better than my Gen3 Glock 22. This is an absolute steal folks.

What a surprise when I opened the box, there sat a new M&P 40 with 2 mags. The pistol looks like they stamped Atlanta Police on it then put it away for some future officer they never hired. The gun isn't actually new but it is a solid 95% or better, I see no wear marks, the night sights glow brightly, and all the paperwork was still in the box, plus an extra mag. Haven't fired it yet but I can see no problems if so there will be another review.

Very pleased with my first purchase from Buds. Gun was a little dirty but cleaned up nicely. After 500 rounds and no hiccups I'd say I have a winner. Highly recommend and will buy again from Buds!

Well I guess I am one of the lucky one my was in very good condition with little visible wear. Seemed clean throughout, and the night sights are still glowing some.. I took it to the range and shoot great no miss fire no jam very smooth I am very happy....

Excited to fire this new toy. But the condition wasn't quite what I hoped. There is some rust, it was a bit dirty in the barrel, and shows signs of holster wear. Others said theirs came in better than expected, I guess that's the luck of the draw. Still think it will be a good addition.

I'm not too impressed with the condition. I must have gotten one of the oldest and worst of the bunch. I was expecting to have to clean it but this one is filthy. I don't know who was using this pistol but it actually smells like sweat mixed with nicotine and fast food grease. There is also more wear than I would consider for something to be in 80-90% condition, especially the polymer frame. I would rate that closer to 60-70% condition overall with the frame being more like 50-60%. The texturing on the grip is worn enough to be smoothed out in places, and the Picariny rail segments are worn to the point where the coroners and edges are rounded instead of crisp lines. The slide and barrel are in better shape than the frame and a deep cleaning will do a lot of good. One thing that will be a big pain is the condition of the front site. The front dot/tritium vile, if there is one under there, has been painted over with bright green paint. Really? This is my first experience with Buds that wasn't 5 stars, so I'll order again.

Bought it on Sunday got it by Wednesday, quick and hassle free shipping by Buds. My S&W is in excellent condition, literally no wear on the gun. The night sights were a little dirty but I cleaned them up and they have plenty of life left. I set the gun on my bed in the dark and they even cast a glow onto my sheets, they are amazing. The gun only came with one magazine which is what was expected. 10/10 pleased with my purchase.

As advertised, I would say 90% plus. Night sights were out but other than that the gun was better than expected.

Got my m&p 40 it's just as buds said about 85 percent condition got it home ran a box of blazer brass fmj no problems I've always been a diehard glock guy but I seen this deal and couldn't pass it up I love this gun my glocks might be up for sale buds was great paid for it on Monday got it on Friday I am a first time customer and I have already placed another order buds has my business from now on thanks buds

I just received my S&W M&P .40 from Buds. When I ordered it I was pretty nervous about what kind of condition it would be in when it came. Buds says that they are used from a police department and are in 80-90% condition. I don't know about the rest of these pistols that they have, but the one I got was in fantastic condition. I had to really look to tell that it was used at all. I've bought/sold a lot of guns, and I would rate the condition of the pistol I got as 99%. There were almost no slide marks on the barrel (up front where the slide contacts the barrel during recoil), and the only other mark I could find was a tiny bit of wear on the leading edge of the barrel chamber block where the slide rubs as it unlocks and travels rearward (and I mean tiny). If I didn't know it was used and wasn't looking for wear, I would say it was new. Well... except for the fact that it was dirty from being fired. LOL I'm very happy with the condition of this "used" gun. It did have night sights and they were bright. It came with 3 backstraps, manual, lock, and fired case from the factory. The ONLY gripe I have is that it only had 1 magazine, but I knew this going in so I can't really complain about it. This is a great deal from Buds, and I'd buy another one if my wife would let me .

Picked up gun today Case and back straps w/manual.Night sights good to go. Overall gun A+ condition. Field stripping is amazingly easy. Took it down cleaned it up. Ran some rounds very smooth and feels great in your hand. Already bought 9mm clip and hope to find 9mm barrel. Shipping took about a week. Overall great deal!!!
