I purchased this gun a while ago and I'll never review anything till I've had a chance to use it. Well with your typical 1911's I experienced a bunch of jambs, failure to feed and failure to eject. I didn't send it back to Bud's but instead I sent it off to Kimber. I was impressed that Not only did Kimber fix the problems but they ALSO covered the Shipping both to them and back! I haven't had a problem since. Bud's Gun Shop was just Amazing to deal with and stood right up to tell me my best way to deal with it was directly through Kimber. Before, During and After these problems....Bud's was Great to deal with and I always try to refer my friends to Bud's for any gun purchases....My next pistol I'm getting ready to buy will AGAIN be from Buds, so should yours.

First impression of this .45 is the quality of the build. Very tight construction. The stock grips aren’t bad in my opinion and I like the wood color. The break in period is about 500 rounds which I am still in the process of doing however I have put about 200 rounds through it. No feeding issues and it is recommended to use smooth round ammo with this one. So far I am very happy. The disassembly is pretty easy. Plenty of videos online too. Thanks Buds for the good service.

First off, the price of the pistol was lowered one hundred dollars, just a couple weeks after I bought mine.
Second, the slide release won't release the slide, due to poor fitting.of said item.
When I spoke to Kimber about the issue, I was told that I wasn't using the pistol properly.
FWIW, I am nearly 70 years old, have owned handguns and long guns for more than 50 years.
This Ultra Carry II was My very first Kimber product, and I'll assure that it is the last one that I'll ever buy.

My first kimber was a TLE Custom. I enjoyed it so much I bought an Ultra Carry as my CCW weapon. The attention to detail, feel and quality that goes into a Kimber is fantastic. This UCII is a perfect size for my hands, weight is nice and light and can be operated one handed with ease. It does not however have an ambidextrous safety so if left handed you may wish to upgrade a little. But you simply cannot go wrong with this Kimber. I found it much more attractive in person than I did online.

The Kimber is a great little pistol. I didn’t get the little tool that’s supposed to come with it for take down but I loved the gun so much I bought a second one a week later and it came with the little tool. I’m a happy customer.

Thumbs up on the purchasing experience, the price was excellent, and the gun is flawless (Kimber Ultra Carry 2) in form and function, as first time 1911 owner so far I'm happy. I've only been able to run 150 round mix of brass case and cheap steel case ammo thru it and not one hiccup, accuracy is spot on, so it's been all good!!!

Bought this Kimber for my wife to replace one she had to sell. It came to my dealer in the time frame I was told, we got it home, cleaned it, and shot it. Everything went flawlessly,
this thing is a definite shooter! Right off the bat with target ammo we were getting great groups with it offhand.

Finish and function of the Kimber Ultra Carry II is great. I could not ask for a nicer carry firearm. Recoil is on par with any 1911. Trigger pull is crisp. I have not put it on a scale but guessing somewhere around 4 to 5 lbs. I have ran 400 rounds of a variety of different brands of ammo and have had ZERO malfunctions.

Beautiful, well made pistol. Fits good in the hand. I bought the Micro 9 for my wife, and the Ultra Carry .45 for myself. Kimbers are really easy to shoot and nice to look at. I have several firearms, but when you hold a Kimber you can feel the quality. Bud's service was second to none like always.
