Some guns were meant to be handled. This is definitely one of them. The grip feels great.

This Ruger GP100 did not disappoint. I give this one the highest marks.
I've owned a 6" one before, and couldn't resist getting another in this Limited Edition Talo configuration. It's beautiful.
Extremely durable, Extremely accurate, very comfortable in the hand, and Bud's gun shop was a pleasure to shop from.
If you want rugged durability, dependable accuracy, and something slightly different from the rest of the pack which is also more aesthetically pleasing to the eye on top of it....This is the one for you. I recommend this model to anyone in the market for a .357 without hesitation.

Excellent .357 Mag. The wood grips are nice and it fits the hand perfectly. As usual I couldn't ask for anything more from Bud's service. Excellent.

This is one of the most most beautiful .357 Mags ever produced. Built like a tank and with the wood finger grips and unfluted cylinder this has got to be one of the best and burlyest 357's ever produced.

I love this beast! It tames the 357 round, shoots accurate as can be, feels great, looks great with the unfluted cylinder... So so so accurate, especially with .38 special. I was showing up retired police at the range. The only issue I have is the wooden grip lost a smaill piece under the trigger guard. I like the look of the wood but you might want to switch to a hogue rubber as I think the hot 357 rounds mess with it. otherwise, great piece.

Fine, fine revolver. I couldnt be happier with the aesthetics and performance of this gun. Ive shot only 100 rounds so far, most full magnum 357 defensive and some target 357. Soft shooting, accurate and throws a flame the size of a softball. No rough edges and the trigger is noticeably smoother than standard GP100's.

I purchased a Ruger GP100 357 Magnum. I'm very happy with this weapon. I have shot 200 + rounds threw it. It was every thing that the ad said it was. It was I very easy purchase with the check by mail. I'm very happy with my buying experience with Bud's. I will be buying will Bud's again. Thanks, sincerely Jon Kumm

It was between this and the S&W 686. Happy with the choice and buds made it easy based on price. I really like the look of the unfluted cylinder. Wood grip is also very attractive. Only complaint is there is no notch to catch the cylinder that the Smith has. Overall great shooter and ACH cash transaction was easy enough.

Great shooting gun. But, I probably should have sent it back. Amazing as it is that a Talo gun would have such rough edges on the trigger guard that I had to take a file to it to smooth it out before I could shoot it, at least it was a stainless gun so there was no finish to worry about damaging. Mechanically it's fine. But this GP100 showed very little attention to detail and should not have passed QA at Ruger. I wound up swapping a 4 inch barrel into to make a practice gun for IDPA of it. Definitely not a collector's or high grade special gun. At the price they're selling now, grab one for a good shooter. But don't expect anything more than that.

Beautiful quality as expected from Ruger. Nice balance and good grip. Recoil is not bad because of the heavy construction.

Had a regular 6” stainless stolen years ago, finally ordered this one to replace the old gp100. Threw a fiber optic front sight and original style grips (with the wood inserts) no regrets! Gun is hefty enough even with full bore hanloads, doesn’t punish the shooter.

Buds was great they made it very easy. The Ruger GP100 357 6" unfluted is a great revolver could not have made a better choice just love the gun. Thank you Buds.

Have only put 300 rounds through it so far. The trigger is not as lite as my 686 (which is too lite can't tell where it breaks) so for me it's nearly perfect. The wooden grip is very comfortable and combined with the weight makes recoil very very manageable. I'm going to have to load hot for this gun because magnums are easy to shoot out of it.

Awesome gun. Very fun to shoot. My first revolver and the minute I picked it up I knew I had made the right choice.

Bought this gun because I like the look of the unfluted cylinder. I was not impressed with the wooden grips so I changed them out for the old style ruger gp100 grips and I love the look and feel. Put 100 rounds down range and not a problem. The only other thing I changed was the front sight to one a bit more visible with the orange Smith and Wesson style. The gun is great and so was Bud's. This was not my first purchase from them and their prices and service is why I keep coming back.

It's a beautifully made revolver but unfortunately I have to send it back to Ruger yesterday to fix the trigger that will not release to reset for the next shot. This happens every 3-4rounds in double action only. I have to pry the trigger loose to reset for the next shot. This happen in both factory and hand loads ammo.Very unacceptable. My S&W 686 eats every ammo without fail the first time out! I hope I am just unlucky to received a bad gun .Sucks to have a brand new gun not being reliable the first time out on the range after giving it a good cleaning. One thing though Ruger customer service is excellent and very accommodating. I give their CS 5 star and my gun a 1 star. I am afraid to recommend this revolver to anyone for now. I just hope Ruger fix this problem soon.

Can't compare. High quality, fair price, made in the U.S. of A. I am superstitious on the ammo I feed my guns. Now unlike most folks who get their new gun and walk off to the range, I inspect mine under a glass. Then I RUN off to the range. This must surely be the Crown Jewel in the Ruger .357 Mag line because the matte stainless finish is every bit as fine as S&W's' In fact, I had a serious debate with myself between the Ruger 1759 and the S&W 686+. "Myself," I said to myself, "the 686 takes 7 rounds." "Yes," myself said to myself, "but there is nowhere you are going to get an unfluted cylinder at the Sturm Ruger price. Even though the S&W finish is supposed to be the best..." Well, that turned out not to be strictly true. This is the finest Ruger I had ever owned. I would recommend taking a set of precision screw drivers on that first shoot. I put 18 158gr HPR (nice & hot @ 1560 fps) rounds downrange, and the "recoil" is a reassuring push, instead of a electric eel running up your arm. All 18 rounds were about 8" high at 21'. I spent about half hour giving her a good clean, "lifted" the rear sight about 5 - 6 clicks, run 18 downrange, and voila! dead on. I'm superstitious that way. I run out 18, clean, repeat for the first 100 - 150 rounds. Have since Christmas run about 450 rounds through her, and she's a dream to shooy, both double and single action. Cons If you have adult children, don't show it to them. Or buy enough to go round the first time. Don't shoot Fiocci or you'll think the gun is blued after the first 6. Pros Will make you as happy as a puppy with two peters. Finally, once again, Buds has come trough for me. I'd rather not name competitors' names, but I shopped around. I got this lovely lady OUT THE DOOR for less than what was quoted as the "including discounted just for you because we like you" price anywhere else. Thanks, Buds. That was my fourth gun from y'all (first review) and I wish I could give the rating another star for your fast service and on-the-ball feedback at every step.

Purchased this as my first large frame revolver. Very happy with quality, fit and finish. Feels a little heavy at first but you will learn to appreciate it when you fire the 357magnum round. The unflutted cylinder is a nice touch from the norm along with the satin finish. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice revolver. Buds was great as usual. Ruger of course is one of the best also.

BEAUTIFUL! This is my third purchase from Buds, all of which have been problem free. This gun is very nice looking. The wood grips on mine are much darker in color than what is pictured. Apparently there is some variation on grip color with this TALO edition so just keep that in mind when ordering. The unfluted cylinder is a nice change from conventional revolver styling. The double action pull is firm but smooth and the single action is very light. The 6" barrel helps tame the recoil of hot 357 mag loads. The gun looks and feels overbuilt. Ruger says it was built from the ground up to handle a lifetime of 357 magnum loads and it certainly seems like it was. It's a tank! A beautiful, well built, strong, American made revolver at a good price.
