Wood looks generic/synthetic, checkering is sharp and overall it is a good o/u for the price.Trigger pull is heavy but may break in or be adjusted. Will put some more time in testing, report later

Buds service was outstanding as usual. I got the gun for my wife and she loved it. The fit and finish was flawless. 200 rounds thru gun with problems.

The shotgun arrived with some of the worst engraving that I have ever seen. The patterns are so off center that engraver literally slipped off the side of the receiver. There are deep gouges and inaccuracies throughout the engraving. Of greater concern is the crack in the stock that appears to have been glued back together. From what I can tell a pin in the trigger mechanism was not properly seated into the stock which caused the stock to crack near the trigger guard. The trigger guard itself is so loose that it can be wiggled side to side up to a 1/4". When the stock was glued back together the residual glue on the surface took most of the finish of the stock with it, leaving deep chipping through the finish along the crack. I immediately took photos and wrote up a detailed description of the defects...this was over two weeks ago and the shotgun is still sitting in the box in my basement. I cannot speak to how well the shotgun functions mechanically (mostly because I would be too embarrassed to take it out in public) but if quality control could allow a firearm in this condition to be placed into a box and shipped to a customer, I'm not sure I want to be the first one to fire it. It appears I am the proud owner of a $700 tomato stake.

The fit and finish were just okay, but it is not a high end shot gun. The seer reset is very sloppy and long, but functional. Definitely needs to be broke in all the parts fit very tight. resulting in non ejected hulls. If you put more pressure while breaking open the shotgun, the ejectors function normally The shotgun functioned as expected. The wood had a few blemishes, it appears to been damaged prior to shipment. It was not enough to make me complain. There was a scratch on the action, and again seems to have been done prior to shipping. It also was not bad enough to launch a complaint. I may revise this review when i have fired more rounds through it.

Looks and shoots great. No problems with safety/selector switch. Opening lever stays 1/8 inch right of center when closed. Gun shop advised that is by design and will move to center with break in. Bottom barrel has failed to eject several times but seem to be better with break in and oil. Opening was stiff, but very nice after 200 rounds. Seems to be well made to tight tolerances.

Where do I begin? So very disappointed. Far too many flaws for a $700 gun. First, right out of the box, the safety switch is so loose I'm terrified that it will fall off at a trap shoot and embarrass me. No doubt it will happen soon. The 'ejectors' do not work whatsoever. Ejected ONE shell, ONE time, that was the end of their functionality. The break action lever, (on top of receiver), leans to the right, so when showing the gun, it looks silly. It should point right down the middle of the barrels when the action is closed. It does not. The fit and finish are below average. Small pits, scuffs and blemishes are easy to find on the metal work. I have immense buyer's regret. I should have bought the Stevens 555 and just put a fiber optic sight on it. Incredibly crestfallen over this gun. Its going to Tri-Star immediately for warranty work to fix the ejectors, safety switch and action lever. I have a legitimate worry that the safety will fail at any time. Don't buy this gun.

I just received this shotgun after a long search for a high quality, low cost trap gun. Upon inspection, I was shocked to find the quality and detail of this shotgun is just as good as ones three times the cost. The finish and attention to detail is impressive for a shotgun under $1000. The accuracy was spot on. Choke tubes are nice. You wont go wrong purchasing this gun. I will be proud to show off this gun at trap league this week and brag about how much money I saved.

Not yet fired, very handsome shotgun. My shotgun comes with ejectors, dry fire the shotgun to be able to separate the barrel from the receiver, the "Dissasembly" chapter of the manual does not include this step. Engraving, even not a master piece, is a lot better than the pictures I found on Internet. I couldn't find any evident/aparent flaws on the finish, very tight as expected for a new gun. Will recomend just for the looks and feel. Will try to update after range trip. I'm very happy with this gun. Wilson P.S. About Buds'? WOW, purchased Thu @ ~2:00 a.m.; shipped SAME DAY PM, got it from FFL on Monday PM. The best Customer Service? Do it right the first time!
