Great gun for concealed carry shots all right.

I am totally pleased with Walther’s products. The craftsmanship is second to none. I personally love the size of this pistol. It really is a great carry conceal handgun. In the 40cal it is a bit snappy but totally expected. After firing a few rounds down range you get the feel of the gun. I find it to be extremely accurate. I love the magazine release placement. It makes reloading quick. Disassembly for cleaning is simple. Having a large hand the pistol fits me best with the 7 round magazine and would recommend this magazine size to others considering a purchase. As a retired LEO, Overall, this handgun is my personal favorite. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone in either the 9mm or 40cal.

Love this gun. the ergonomics of grip and how thin it is makes a great ccw.

This is my EDC, easy to control, easy to shoot, easy to conceal. Single stack is very flat yet can easily carry 7 rounds. The paddle magazine release is easy to get used to using. I appendix carry, by using the thumb it it is easy to push the gun by the rear into the holster and because there is a trigger pull indicator that protrudes from the rear where I push, any unlikely snag of the trigger, zuwill be felt by the thumb, allowing a removal and correction of the issue. Very safe.

Nothing really to say except that it is a Walther. Never malfunctions, breakdown easy enough, and will take any .40 at any grain. The S&W .40 has some limitation but the Walther has none of those. It is for people with smaller hands. If you have meaty Paws I recommend the double stack Walther .45 ACP. My wife loves this firearm and she has tried a variety of .380's and not really liked any of them. Superiour firepower and superiour quality. Would definitely buy more from Walther.

This is a perfect pocket .40, hands down, better than my Glock 27. You know it's gonna be a little snappy cause it's a 40, but other than that, not one issue!

this is my second gun purchase from buds and it went smooth as last time. Once they have your order has been moved to their shipping department; it usually is at your FFL in 2 days. Now about the gun; I was a little skeptical about buying a .40 cal so small. But the after putting about 200 rounds through it; I Love it. There is a little snap when you shoot it but much less recoil than my glock or my buddies M&P Shield. It came with 2 backstraps, I chose to go with the bigger one due to my large hands. ALl in all Walther is a great company and I will probably be purchasing the PPQ .45 next. Thanks BUDS!

purchased a Walther PPS in .40........wonderful gun......recoil manageable...really about same feel as my 9mm......easy to shoot and stay in-bounds.......Really like the single stack / narrow grip ....fits my hand and makes aiming direct and spot on........breakdown for cleaning is easy and quick..........great handgun......Bud's makes it easy ........thanks J

This is my second 40 cal PPS. Walther makes a great product and the price is right. Do wish they would get rid of the 6 round mag and provide 2 7s or maybe a 7 and a 8. Shoots great with a bit of a kick and a little low. Great concealed option. Great reviews.

1,000 rounds FMJ (brass, aluminum and steel) and JHP (Golden Saber P and Winchester PX1) flawlessly. Own a XDm .45 ACP (which I love) and this Walther PPS have become my everyday carry. Takes a few 100 rounds to know where to hold. Once you're there, this short barrel wonder puts them there every time... And at 50 yards! Not much difference in weight compared to my XDm. But love putting them side by side and seeing how thin it is. Feels great in the hand. Good grip. Minimal muzzle lift for a 40S&W. Shoots almost like a 9mm. Cleaning takes time, since the mechanism is more complex than XD or Glock. Rear sights have too much air in between for my taste. But it's easy to conceal and over time, you tend to forget its there. Very nice trigger and good reset. Love the paddle mag release. Very easy to dump and load without changing field of aim. Word of advice, just like driving a stick shift and switching to automatic transmission, you will be reaching for that paddle release on your other firearms. Gets me everytime at the range. So far its been reliable, very accurate and easy to carry. Another word of advice, forget any rail attachments. Any slight pressure on the rail and it will mess with the slide movement. And once you find the back strap that fits right in your hand, leave it there! It's part of the internal safety. No back strap, no bang! Very pleased with this purchase. I would recommend it to all.

As an inner city Mass Transit Driver was in need of highly concealable sidearm with a potent caliber greater then 380. The PPS in 40 S&/W was the ideal choice, hidden inside a Crossbreed IWB holster it doesn't print even under a light weight T. The ergonomics of the PPS is outstanding, same goes for the overall quality. Recoil is not a problem, and field stripping is a breeze...overall, an outstanding weapon, money well spent. As always, kudos to Buds for great service and delivery....

Nice little gun, No fails to feed or fire. Put 100 rounds thru the gun on the first day and ran flawless.

Outstanding price for an outstanding weapon. I've looked at three different weapons dealers in my area at this exact model and caliber, and every dealer wanted over $600. You can't go wrong with a Walther. I've owned a PPQ, P99, and now the PPS. This is the perfect carry weapon for a person of any size, and to be a .40, it shoots very well. Some .40 calibers are very uncomfortable to shoot, but the PPS handles that snappy little round very well. My wife is pretty small, and she liked the feel and performance of this weapon so much, she is buying one for herself... And buds service was just like it always is. Great!

Great price from buds. I believe this firearm would be more enjoyable in 9mm it has quite a snap with 180 grain jhp I put 50 through it so far I love the look and feel of the gun but it is quite snappy

I love my new Walther PPS M1 in 40 S&W. It is a worthy addition to my collection. I was so happy with the process, that I purchased a Zastava PAP M-85, 5.56/223 from Bud's a few weeks later and the price was right on both items and everything went smoooothly! Thanks, Bud's =0) I'll BE BACK!

Great gun, super reliable and very accurate. The Walther PPS is a very nice sidearm; good size, not too heavy and really thin. It does have a slightly large profile in regards to length by height for a carry gun in my opinion, however it's very doable for CC. Shoots a 40 S&W out of a relatively small firearm so it's a little snappy but I liked the feel--definitely feels like you're shooting a gun. As far as out of the box shootability in a single stack .40 it has got to be in my top 3. Reliable with no malfunctions through 100 rounds of different ammo. Trigger is good, a little heavy( 6.5 - 7 lb) with a smooth take up to the "wall", then breaks clean--It has the feel of a Glock trigger but not mushy towards the break, reset is average to good. 5 Star Pistol...would recommend.
