I bought two, for locations where I was looking for a quick draw, for a person not use to laser sights. I didn't want them to have to turn something on, whether by having proper grip, or pressing a button. With the companies proper holster this works great. I needed to use my holster, and at the time didn't understand the need to order additional magnets. Seems like one should have been supplied with the unit. I did have in my possession Small flat rare earth magnets, Here again I would have expected Viridian to have included instructions on how to use your own magnets . My first install must have had the North/South pole faced the wrong way, because the unit would go out when inserted in the holster, but would turn off with time. I have now checked that and corrected the pole pointing to the unit, and they seem to be working correctly. I liked the feature where the unit could be set to be in blink mode, or solid on. I had a Streamlight HL-2 that required a second push to do pulse, and then would only do it while holding the button. NOT good.

Great quality. Incredibly bright. It's not very visible in direct sunlight but in the shade or in the evening (low light conditions) the laser is extremely helpful in making quick target acquisitions. It is a very slim design that conceals the same as it did without the laser. There is a slight delay between pulling out of the holster and the laser turning on, less than half of a second but there is a delay. I don't quite understand why viridian advertises other holsters in the pamphlet that comes with the laser. They supply their own holster (IWB). Which is cool for the ECR function but it doesn't always stay in my pants when I draw. I would definitely recommend this product but plan on purchasing a better holster.

great addition to my Ruger LCP. Was easy to install and I had it zeroed in about 8 shots at 30 feet.
