On of the best bang for your buck purchases I have made. Great trigger, good fit and finish. Only short coming might be the sights, they are pretty basic. I upgraded them and its good to go. Only paid $329. Wish I could get a truck load of them at that price right now. And dealing with Buds was and easy as it could have been, pleasure to do business with

This particular 1911 is my daily Rider it goes with me everywhere most likely because of the Nostalgia behind having a classic firearm like the 1911 but having the capacity of a 9mm with 10 Rounds aftermarket being flooded with parts for 1911's so there's no issues there and my particular 1911 being very reliable out of the box with no issues I Would by one again in a heartbeat

You can't go wrong with a Citadel which is like the Cadillac of Rock Island 1911's. Once in a while Buds will drop the price on these under 400 bucks and when they do I would recommend you jump on them. Even at normal price you get a lot of features for the money. I have owned 3 of these 9mm versions and someone in my family always seems to lay claim to one after they shoot it. I don't mind loosing a good weapon to a family member at least I know I can visit it once in a while.

I gave this gun a good cleaning and took it to the range. I put 200 rounds thru it, the only problem I had was with one of the two magazines it came with, the other one and the two Mec-Gar magazines I bought ran great. good shooting gun. Don't bother calling Armscor customer service, no one answers the phone, but the E-mail response was quick and myreplacement magazine is on the way. This is my second Philippine 1911 both are good shooting guns. I'm glad I bought it

This gun is great! It runs flawless, haven't had any issue with it at all. I was worried about hollow points in a non ramped 1911 but they all feed fine. I've had a few 1911's, Ruger and Para but this gun has run better than both. I'm no knocking either of those companies either, they make great guns but for the price, I am really surprised how good this gun turned out. I painted the sights with enamel paint since the rear already has holes tapped and the front blade was easy to paint. I wasn't sure if I would like the front blade sight before I got it and now that's it's bright red, it works great. Only thing I would recommend besides your favorite front sight is grips. The factory grips a good enough but I like more aggressive texture. Don't hesitate to buy or put this gun on layaway. I've bought 8 guns from Buds over the years and they are always a pleasure to deal with.

I'm Very happy with the replacement! The first one I received had some minor issues with feeding. About 2% of the bullets would go straight up and smash into to top of the barrel. I called Armscor in Nevada and they said send it in. Armscor replaced it they paid for shipping both ways at no cost me. I have not had one problem in 500 rounds with the replacement pistol. I don't know why they did not fix my original one but I am Happy with my new Citidel 1911 9mm. I can buy 150 to 200 rounds of 9mm ammo for less the 100 rounds of 45acp and still shoot tight groups. Armscor has done a great job and their customer service is the best.

This is a solid pistol. The slide moves so smoothly on the frame. There is some slight, very slight play in the slide to frame, but it still racks very smoothly. I wish it had 3 dot white sights, but that's not a very big deal. The pistol has great weight to it, so it handles the 9mm recoil great. This is such a soft shooting pistol. Finish appears to be quality. I've put 200 rounds through it and it still looks good to go. No failures of any kinds while shooting. I found accuracy to be good too. I caught this gun during a couple of hours window when the price dropped to 329, and I picked it right up. At that price point, this gun is a steal. Honestly, I don't know if its worth over 500.00. That's up to others to decide. For me, for 329.00, this gun is awesome. If you are looking for an affordable 1911 in 9mm, this is a great option.

Excellent 9mm for the price. No FTF or anything thus far. I did purchase an Kensight adjustable rear sight for it and it shot accurately before and after that. The trigger is great on this and I haven't found the need to replace it or anything else. It should indicate something to any customer about this pistol when I purchased it in 2014 for $329 and now it's listed for much more than that. Don't hesitate to purchase it, it will exceed your expectations.

It's an excellent deal... especially if you have a sight tool. This pistol has good fit, finish, was comfortable to hold, and functioned 100% with both FMJ and JHP of various weights... Unfortunately at ten yards, the sights were off a good eight inches to the left. Bummer. Quick fix, but fairly ridiculous.

Just recently received my cidadel and finally got to take it to the the range today. I was extreamly impressed with the feel of the gun. The gun was very accurate and the trigger was superb right out of the box. I ran about 150 rounds though it with no problems at all. I also had with me a much higher end gun and was anxious to compare the two. Much to my surprise the citadel out preformed the more expensive gun. I think you would be hard pressed to find another 1911 for the money that would out perform this one. I would recommend this firearm to anyone looking for a well built, good shooting, reliable gun that doesn't want to break the bank.

Finally took it out last weekend. 100 rounds through it. Used S&B 115 grain. Trigger was a little gritty but improved with shooting. I felt like it was shooting about 2 inches low at 10 yards but grouped well. I might swap the sights with 3 dot just for a better picture. Good buy for the money at that price. Cons were a failure to feed and a failure to lock back (same magazine, other ran fine) but I didn't do anything other than clean the magazines, no break in. The finish on mine was also already worn on the sharp edges and edges on the front strap. Mainspring housing is plastic but didn't effect anything. I feel it was a great buy at the sale price.

When I picked up the gun from my FFL guy we were both impressed with the overall quality. The gun was heavily oiled and sealed in a heavy plastic bag. These are good things for guns coming from overseas. Upon taking the gun home I broke it down and gave it a good cleaning. The trigger was very smooth with minimal creep, almost as good as my Kimber Pro Carry II, and about the same as my Taurus PT 1911. At the range I found the gun to be very accurate. The sights were right on, and easy to use. With the first clip I had one stovepipe. With the second clip the slide did not stay open on the last round. I list these as minor break-in problems, because the next 250 rounds were flawless, with no other problems. I found the gun to be well made. It was accurate and after a very short brake-in very reliable. They state in the manual that ball ammunition is recommended. I decided to try some Winchester Silver Tip Hollow Point Bullets just to see what would happen. I shot 25 rounds of these and there was no problem. I feel that this is a fine gun at any price, a great buy at BUD,s price.

As my first 1911 , this pistol did not disappoint me. Slide to frame fit is tight, no rattles whatsoever. Not a great finish but no marks and bluing or parkerizing is done really well. It went on sale for less than 400 at that time of purchase and I couldn't be more happier for an entry level 1911. The reviews are all true, BUD's is hassle free and quick in shipping.

bought this one back during the big summer sale-- for a little over three bills for a 1911 with all the "trimmings' i. just now got it paid off lay-away and got time to clean it up and fire a few rounds. great trigger, one of the best i've seen out of the box, excellent fit and finish , no slack in the slide to frame, nice clean machining inside the frame. mine has the subdued slide-- seems accurate , no problems with the mags, the feed and lock the slide back on the last shot. fired 100 rounds of WWB today , lots of fun. sights could use some white dots or glow paint-- my grips look like walnut double diamond-- no hurry to change those, i did mirror polish the feed ramp took like 5 minutes-- this is the best deal i have ever got on a 1911! very happy camper! thanks buds!!
