Bought this rifle several years ago. Scope on this rifle is difficult to turn power/zoom knob. Wondering how to get Buds to repair or replace. Bill

I graciously give it 5 stars but there were some problems. I check the bore sighting that was supposed to have been done and it was off by a mile.I called Savage and they shipped a new scope out. Rather than bore sight it I went to the range and shot at 50' and tried to dial it in which was like chasing a fly. I got one in dead center so I moved to 50 yards still struggling but again got one dead center. Moved to 100 yards and couldn't hit the broadside of a barn and no matter how much I adjusted it it never hit center. Well as it turned out, nt only was it not bore sighted as stated, but the mounts were so loose the scope rattled. So I brought it home after blowing 100 rounds chasing a loose mount, properly mounted the bases properly and am going to start over again. Hopefully with better results. I was really surprised Savage boxedd up such a poorly prepared firearm but did not hold it against them and bought an F series, bull barrel 308. The AXIS os for hog hunting, the F series bull barrel is for 600 yard shooting.

Just DROS'd my AXIS II and inspected it before the required "quarantine" and it looks fab. The paperwork required was missing in the box but Buds quickly solved the problem so my FFL could proceed.

Everything was great when I received the Axis II. It does come with a gun lock and a few tools to adjust the accutrigger. The weaver scope was also great, and can be easily adjusted for wind, elevation, and clarity. The gun lock fits just fine. Oh and shipping only took 3-4 days. The whole process of buying a gun, this one in particular from Buds was quick and easy; I will think of Buds if I ever decide to order another gun or gun accessory. Thanks Buds, you've made a brand new gun owner very happy!

Very nice gun for the money no issues very accurate

This was the first time ordering with BUDs and was happy with the experience. This is my first .308. Had done quite a bit of research and this gun seemed to fit all the criteria for me. This gun will be my primary deer hunting gun. I have only shot it a few times but everything worked as expected. Seemed accurate at 50 yds. Was pleased with the amount of recoil. All in all I think this is a great entry level gun.

An amazing rifle that I love to shoot. I truly enjoy taking her to the range and going through a couple boxes. Couldn't be happier.

Great experience buying from buds. Great rifle, smooth action, had to sight the scope in, took 10 minutes. Adjusted the trigger and is now my favorite gun, if you're considering this gun, just purchase it. I was considering 2 other guns when I got this one and I'm so glad I did. Worth more than the 374.00 very very accurate rifle
