I purchased this gun in 2018. During the first two days breaking it in at the range, the magazine would drop out after firing three rounds. It didn't matter if they were three consecutive shots, or if I fired three singles, you could count on a magazine drop. The sequence went like this; boom-boom-boom-drop; boom pause boom pause boom-drop. I sent the gun back to Kahr and a few weeks later my firearm returned with a note saying they couldn't replicate the problem. However, they went ahead and replaced all of the magazine catch related parts. A trip to the range showed the problem was corrected. Now its the end of 2023; after many trips to the range, the slide wobbles side-to-side on the frame. It still fires ok, but as the slide cycles, it sounds metallic and just feels sloppy.

I loved it. I liked the feel of it. I liked how compact and thin it was. Very easy to conceal. Unfortunately there was a big issue with it. It held 7 rounds. With all seven rounds in the mag I attempted to rack it and it jammed while attempting to feed the first round. Tried multiple times again and it still failed. I removed the seventh round and left six. Racked the first round perfectly fine. Tried with seven again. Failed. At that point I didn't feel it was reliable as it should be. Great looking gun though.

Grip absolutely sucks but some shake board tape fixes that. Very accurate nice fun shooter. Only have 100 rounds through it so not sure how it’ll last in the long run but it’s a good gun.

Great power in a shootable size gun. They own the market with such a light weight powerhouse. Go big or go home. Great horsepower for the money

Great pistol! Super comfortable. In my opinion its a more affordable G48 in .40 with a thin single stack and grip.
Awesome gun for the price with great quality.

This pistol is well made for it's price and it's made in the USA. After having a much nicer handgun stolen from my car, I decided two things: First, to use a safe with tethered cable and second, to carry an entry level pistol. If this gets stolen I won't cry too hard, but it's definitely reliable enough to trust if needed.

I new when I bought this pistol I would have to break it in. I first took it apart and did all the polishing and cleaned the tracks on the rails.
This is a pleasure to shoot. I reload my own ammo. This took everything I threw at it with only a few ftes out of over 100 rounds of my stuff and a box of rem.
For the price and Buds service this is a decent fun pistol.

Kahr has a winner in this pistol. the weight is low so the recoil is stout, but it's slim and nice. Only problem I've had is the one mag it comes with doesn't want to chamber the first 2 rounds. After that it needs like a champ. I bought a couple more mags and they work fine. The reviews I have read have been great, but faulty mags seem to be common. Overall this is a great shooter and well worth it.

Magazine would drop out of gun while I was firing. Sent back to Kahr... worst mistake came back even worse with gouges and tooling marks.. Done with Auto Ordinance and all its sister companies. Buds is always great and I will be searching for my next Diamond in the Rough within the hour. This one is not one. I'd stay away from the company.

Priced right and shipped quickly

great pistol here, it packs a punch with the 40 and you can feel it in your hands. had only one failure to eject but that was within first 4-5 mags otherwise awesome job by Khar.

Bought this for firearm at a low price. Its Kahr's value enhanced line of firearms. Comes with one 7 round magazine and in a cardboard box. Have not fired it yet, but the feel of the gun in my hand is decent. Trigger pull is manageable, I believe rated at 6.5 lbs. DAO. Break down is a little cumbersome. One thing that I do critique is that the rails on the polymer frame is all polymer. No real metal railing like in other firearms. So I am not sure how this affects longevity of the firearm. But nonetheless, I hear/read very favorable reviews on this line of Kahr. I added a Pachmayr Tactical grip, which really enhances the feel of the CT40. Will be helpful when I fire off some 40 SW, which are beastly...Also I purchased an extra Kahr magazine from eBay for ~$32, lowest price I could find. Overall I am happy with the firearm.

I received the kahr CT40 from Buds guns on time. They are great people to work with and so far have always delivered. The pistol looks and feel great and is of very good quality. I would recommend for anyone to try. Great product

Good news, bad news. A good looking, accurate handgun that appears to be well made. The price was great and Bud's did a great job with quick delivery, but on the third shot, the magazine dropped out of the gun. This reoccurs 2 or 3 times per magazine and is obviously NOT a good thing. Kahr says a new magazine catch/release will solve the problem and they are sending one.....we'll see.

First of all, this gun was shipped faster than any other pistol I have purchase at Buds. Kuddos to that. The bad, frame quality on gun is pretty poor and some tooling on barrels also. Not Buds doing, but wanted to put out there. Frame hardly any metal rails at all. Basically plastic. Got a good price on it. And since its going to be use for my car, really didn’t care much has its works. 500 rounds no issues. But in buds end. Gun show some damage on frame area around pin holding barrel in place. Look like a hard tool was used to pry it. Also scratches on slide areas. For the price I got it for. Its okay. Don’t recommend value price guns for Karh. Better off buying premium or steel models.

Kahr CT40; Surprisingly soft shooting 40 especially for narrow width. Texture provides great positive shooting grip with one of the best triggers I've experienced and provides conducive close groups. Narrowness and low weight make this a perfect carry weapon in this powerful caliber. Had negative experience w Kahr 380, but this one is a winner for price, handling, and reliability. You'll Never Beat The Irish!

Wow! Bud's price was unbeatable, so thanks for that. However, even if I had paid the 'going rate' for this pistol, it would still be more than worth the price. PROS: - Superb DAO trigger - Accurate with easy target acquisition using stock sights - Surprisingly controllable recoil impulse (I expected it to be snappier) - Feels great in the hand with nice, aggressive texturing - For a full-size pistol, it is very thin (_ 1") and easily concealable - 100% reliable after 250 rounds CONS - Not a lot of holsters available - Only 1 magazine, though I knew it when I purchased So far, just an outstanding experience with this pistol and it will become my EDC.

The Kahr CT 40 is a perfect sized 40 caliber handgun! The price was great and this Pistol is a steal at under $250! Rather on a budget or just wanting a 40 caliber Pistol, you should enjoy this one!

This is a great gun. My fourth purchase from Buds and the transaction we great. I have put 50 rounds through the CT40 and it shoots great. I recommend this gun for concealed carry and as a off duty gun. I check the Buds clearance section every day and found this Kahr at a nice discount

Love this Kahr ct40. Took this to the range today and had no issues at all. Looking forward to concealing this days im out running errands and what not. This and my glock 17 are perfect for my self defense needs. But this item youll love it. Going to purchase the 45 soon.
